I like this programme and listen to the audio every morning when offered the next day. I hesitate to have hope based on the reporting I hear these days. The reason for this is the new "silent majority" we seem to be confronted with. For me that is the unknown number of people who claim not to support Trump or who don't specify who they support but do support Trump. I think their numbers are greater than any of us realise. For me their existence came to mind after the somewhat surprising defeat of Harris / Walz. We had been told that an "eruption" was imminent behind Harris / Walz as well, and that did not materialise. As far as the tariffs are concerned? I seriously doubt that Trump's "handlers" (he's not pulling the strings anymore...) planned the imposition of the tariffs at all. I think they were looking for a way out of the mess his promises caused, and Trudeau and Sheinbaum gave them the way out they wanted.... There is so much going on, they want chaos because it gives them cover to dismantle and damage the pillars of our institutions
Agree, staged tariffs .. if only to keep the chattering class distracted while they dismantle the USA gov to please Putin, also to provide enough of (a fig leaf of cover, to allow Trump and his crew to “smash and grab” as much as possible.

Trump just stopped anybody's packages coming from China, so if you ordered anything from temu,etsy it's not coming. You will get a letter telling you how much tariff money you owe in order for the package to be delivered now. That really sucks. That's one of his newest things. Today or tonight I should say
