Excellent reaction, man! Such a good movie. As I remember, on the DVD there is an 'alternate ending' where Richard, instead of trying to calmly reason with Mark into killing him, all out threatens to kill his entire family if he doesn't stab him. I do prefer the original ending, but the other works well too. Nice work on getting the twist shortly before the reveal. It is definitely a story where we can laugh with and feel sorry for the victims, until we finally find out what it is they really did. So good. Glad you managed to track down a good copy of it! :)
Oh, I think Mark's wife is the mother in This is England btw! Meadows reuses a lot of actors, and I am pretty sure that is her! :)

Top reaction to a great film. Hardly anyone has reacted to this so it’s nice to see. A proper grim revenge tale. If you’ve not seen “Get Carter” (1971) I’d highly recommend it. It’s a classic, gritty gangster film starring Michael Caine.
Mike Leigh is another top British director who’s done plenty of films depicting a very real and relatable view of the uk. “Naked” (1993), “Secrets & Lies” (1996), “Life is Sweet” (1990) and “Nuts in May” (1976) are just few to check out if you’ve not seen them.
I’d also recommend “Four Lions” (2010) and “Twin Town” (1997) both are modern classic, dark British comedies. Nice one dude.

One of my favourite films ever. Glad to see the alternative ending mentioned in the comments. In the 'One Down' scene there is the word 'stop' written in blood on the cistern, left side. Can't make out if there is another word on the right though. Also Herb's hand visibly shakes when handing money to Sonny at the clubhouse. When Sonny first sees Richard at the 'party' section he makes a crossbow type motion with his hands. The whole film is very gritty and feels very realistic.

They don't really make a lot of money. They make just enough to get by, but more importantly, they sell enough to feed their own drug habit.
Rule number 1 is don't get high on your own supply. But most low level dealers are only dealing so they can feed their habit.
