    My old friends father was a linesman, I'm sure he worked for Manweb/Norweb. Not sure if that was part of the national grid, but sadly he fell from a pileon and died.

    • @ShalomBrother
      @ShalomBrother 11 месяцев назад +2

      The national grit take the power from the power stations and distribute it to the regional electricity companies. Manweb is an abbreviation of Merseyside and north Wales electricity board, norweb is north western electricity board.
      The regional boards have had many fatalities over the years with people falling from height. Unless the accident your talking about happened 30+ years ago then there’s a good chance I will know of your friends father and what happened and why.
      It’s a dangerous job but if all the modern rules and procedures where followed then there’s a good chance your friends dad would still be here today.
