I've had mine for a few years. . Have used the crap out of it. Canister stopped filling up. Changed the filter although it wasn't making the sound when the filter needs to be changed. Dirt still not being sucked up. Almost tossed it. NOPE. Your video did the trick. Easy to follow and understand. 2 thumbs up.
This happens constantly with mine. We have four dogs - lots of hair, but I have to clean out that compartment at least twice every time I use my Dyson - not fun.

OMG this video saved my sanity! I was about to set my Dyson on fire and then you said dig in this hole and unclog it and BAM my machine worked!! WOOO HOOO
We use our Dyson really to only pick up our GSD hair because she is almost always shedding onto the hardwood floors. I am going to try this when I get home and hopefully this is the answer to the problem! Does make the weaker sound and doesn't pick much up.
As always a very good instructional video, thanks for that. But I have to say dyson cleaning products are not well designed when you have to clean multiple things to get it right. A regular vacuum cleaner is 1/4 the cost of a dyson cleaner and is so easy to maintain.
Mines making that same noise. Cleaned all filters and head etc. Stripped and compressor blowed it all clean right down to the motor. Still making noise and lcd says check filter. I can only assume impeller has come loose 🤷🏻
What crap a Dyson is.. I gave a V11 as a gift to a family member when it was just new version and it has never worked properly, I know the suction is terrible. Dyson used to advertise no loss of suction like a bagged vacuum and no dirty dusty bags to replace, instead we have it stick out face close to a dusty block hole and poke around in it with chopsticks and a pen to clear it. My Dyson V11 ran well for 6 months or so before the suction power dropped off dramatically. Clearing the vent as shown didn't fix the issue for me. I agree the near constant clogging of the inside vent is a pain. I wouldn't recommend this product.

Brand new Dyson V11 and it stopped working correctly. This video was clear and easy to understand and easily resolved the issue.

My mother just bought a new Dyson because she had this problem. Just got a free Dyson and am converting it to Makita batteries for work

i use a firm bottle brush after clearing out and it clears it and cleans anything stuck

Mine is not clogged but makes the high pitch noise
Likely an obstruction. Had this happen with a Lego
elaborate more since I haven't vacuumed anything larger than pea size object. @@unsharpen

I've done all of this and the suction is still terrible. It just blows dust bunnies and particles all around like a leaf blower. Horrible vacuum.
I had the same problem and I took it to a dyson repair center. It’s working like new again. It was under warranty so I paid nothing :)
