🧡 Absolutely love it! I’ve been with my husband since we were 16, 18 years, and 9 he was in the Marines. In 2012 he did his last deployment and came back a different person. I had to learn to take care of someone with PTSD while taking care of toddlers but I did it for him. He’s much better now thankfully, but this year was very hard on a lot who were deployed. Thank you FATN for bringing light to this 🧡

This is an amazing tune. It's got a very real
and very serious message, it opens the eyes of people who are too blind to see the severity of the trauma that serving Our Country can cause. I'm not in the Armed Forces nor have I ever been, but I do have loved ones that have and I've seen this internal struggle after they return home, where you would think one would be happy to be back too. That's not always the case, some of our Service Members never really come back. It's so heartbreaking to see. All I can say is this song pulls on the heart strings. It's beautifully written and performed. Thanks guys for this video. Trevor, it's great to have you back, it's been too long.

This song hits home. My ex husband was in the army and battles with PTSD from everything he seen over seas. It sadly breaks many families apart. I'm just happy he is finally getting help he needs.

Before I saw the video I definitely like the original version better. But after seeing the video it really fits. And is unfortunately what a lot of military personal go through after coming back from deployment. I was bad after I got back from Iraq! I’m a caregiver for a woman who’s husband committed suicide due to delayed stress from fighting in Vietnam. She made her land into a veterans retreat center. I’ve also been with a veteran for 3.5 years now.
The war doesn’t stop for them after they come home or are inactive. They are re-wired for life. Veterans need special care and understanding. They sacrifice their mental health to fight..
Coming from a military family, I had to share this on Facebook with my parents and friends, who also joined after high school. I have to say, this is my new favorite song dedicated to military families and organizations (former was Citizen Soldiers by Three Doors Down). 🥰

Found this song relatively recently, the thumbnail looked like the FFDP "gone away" cover, and I was very pleasantly surprised. This is a great song and thank you all for making this song about more than the music but for a great cause. As a veteran, the hardest part about coming home is actually being home, the loss, the trauma, the crazy adrenaline highs, and the brotherhood you get overseas seems to end at home and for many, this is too much to handle and we hardly know how to explain that home isn't the safe place, war is.
