In a personal note, President Kevin O’Brien, S.J. thanked the Santa Clara University family for offering support and generosity to each other amid the coronavirus crisis.
It is a time of heightened anxiety around the world. We are receiving an abundance of new information every day. And still, there is much that is unknown. More than ever before, we need each other.
Father O'Brien reminds us that our Bronco family will get through this with God's help and with the help of one another.
The University will send emails and post updates as it continues to work closely with public health officials in this very fluid situation.

Thank you Father, for the kind words from your heart and the update of life on campus. I have sent a short note out to my Bellarmine and Santa Clara University family, that I would like to pass along.
    Dear friends,
Despite these chaotic times, I'm pursuing my responsibilities to protect my family and those around us.
Cautious behavior, YES. Panic, NO !
Everyday we wake up, we face uncertainties. That's what makes life exciting. Such a BIG mistake to not be apart of this great world we live in.
Have a great day and go LIVE !
    God Bless and be GOOD,
    Bradley Mazzuca. SCU '79

In its genuine sincerity and totally lucid reflection that shows the best of us humans, what a remarkable gesture and combination of words, calm, and positive emotion. If ever there was a message of reassurance while reminding us that we are all in this truly together, as humble humans ready to help each other, without hesitation or pretense, no matter what, this was it. Thank you Father O'Brian for such a message spoken with such humility, no doubt a gift of your loving personality that shines in quite dramatic contrast, dare i have to say, to our President. I am so proud to be a new member of our community knowing that you are here, too, as our leader.
