    Brother I agree with you on the light but while you are looking keep the sun on your back I have done this and especially in corn fields makes the sheds pop.

      Also a great tip. Sunlight tends to be more of an issue in the timber where the leaves on the ground act as strong reflectors when the sun is high.

      Ok thanks man I will keep that in mind I am going to do some videos this year last two years I have found 45 and 47 the year before is that good in upstate NY? Like your content oh any tips on water repellent high boots all boots I find only last one season I put on 360 miles last season

      @@arroworchard1054 Nice! That's a good haul anywhere! One of my favorite boots is the Cabela's Iron Ridge but I mainly wear that during Nov & Dec seasons. I've also had success with Salewa and Hanwag. Salewa wasn't waterproof and didn't last as long as I would have liked but they were my favorite for putting on the miles. Good support and light weight. Hanwags are leather, lightweight and more durable but they're pretty stiff. Good for dealing with rocky terrain.

    Wow I kind of know the area and on weekends it's like a sidewalk in NYC. I would not expect to see this many older bucks. Great find!

      Yeah - Too bad they're all dying or dead due to an EHD outbreak :(

      Thanks Cory! I hunt 3N but this video was made before EHD wiped out 80% of the herd in the area and its been slow to recover. :/ ... I haven't found a shed in this area since and not from a lack of trying.

    Very impressive outings. Like the tips as well. I have found a handful of sheds over the years but your video makes me want to target them more and I also like how you integrate it with trail cam/scouting for next season! I just started my own channel (had been thinking of doing it for awhile) and when I first saw your videos last year they definitely motivated me ,so thanks! I live in NY and hunt public land (also lived in VT for many years) so its also nice to see content in these regions. Looking forward to more videos

      @@HigherElevations did you hunt there this fall?

    • @HigherElevations
      @HigherElevations  3 года назад

      Unfortunately no. 😒 There was an EHD outbreak just before season and 80% of the deer died. Damn you 2020!!! 😠 So I left this area alone and didn't hunt. Hopefully it rebounds quickly but it'll take time. I have a video in the works about the whole thing. Stay tuned.
