I LUV Nigel Kennedy. Went to the Churchill Theatre in Croydon some years ago with my younger daughter. It was a terribly hot evening and he got the orchestra to take their tuxedos off but of course he was in all his clobber!! He played the Brahm’s absolutely incrediblely but it was not surprising we didn’t get an encore!! I am elderly and disabled and living with said wonderful daughter. Thank goodness for a certain classical radio station. Love and best of luck to everyone. We are fighting the dreaded Covid!!!! X
LOVE ‘my Nige’!!! Went to see him a few years ago at the Churchill Theatre in Croydon. It was a terribly hot night. He got the orchestra to take their tuxedos off but of course he was still in all his clobber!! He played the Brahm’s way out of this world so no wonder we didn’t get an encore. A wonderful memory! Love and best of luck to everyone. I’m elderly disabled and live with my 2nd daughter who was with me that night and we have both got Covid. Thank god for ClassicFM! Xxxxx
Nigel's brilliant at everything he does! And what I like about him is that although he's incredibly famous, he doesn't exude that awful snobbery which the majority of classical musicians do, plus he can play almost any style, not just Vivaldi. He always seems such a happy, genuine guy who loves music!
Absolutely brilliant night at Royal Festival Hall on 19 May 2018 from Nigel and his talented band. The Gershwin stuff was superb. Nigel played piano - never heard/seen him do that before. If you get a chance to go do - if you're half as blown away as I was you won't be disappointed.
Thanks Nigel - saw you last night at the Royal Festival Hall and was absolutely blown away. Am definitely seeing you next time you play in London or anywhere in the UK to be honest you were that good. Such a stage presence and loved what you said about the nonsense of the Royal wedding. Thank you so much. You are such a star x
I completely agree about having fun and laughter...this is true "en-lightenment".and everything flows better!! Because when you open the top of your head in anything you do, you open to the heavens!!
yep.he don,t know a mode from a toad.just a joke as a jazz musician.he managed to persuade blue note records to let him make an album for them.its a bit like les dawson recording for deutsche grammophon.i wish he would just piss off really.

Not normally a Kennedy fan, but love his view that "making music, serious doesn't mean solemn"...

It's really possible to hear the fun he has and his love for music. A cool dude!
have seen him play live with a full orchestra and it was magic.

It's a great album! Though a bit uneven, there are georgous golden moments! Hooray!

I love him.
Can someone tell me what's the piano model? That duo sounds so chilling and lazy, love it.
Tienes pasión corazon y regalas maravillas a un mundo que nesecita paz ((( sami )))☆☆
I was wondering if anybody knows how Kennedy amplifies his fiddle.
3:45 That's a lot of rosin there

OLYMPIAKOS RE M,OUNIA
i'm thinking stephene grapelli hasn't music to worry about. he's utterly clueless as a jazz improviser.
