I’m no stranger to JetBlue Mint, but I was slightly apprehensive in the days leading up to this flight. Would it be as good as it was the last time I experienced it? It was no doubt a concern since it would be the exact same product it was they day they launched it so many years ago.
Thankfully, I’m happy to report that Mint is still my favorite premium/business class product in all the US. The cabins are still spotless and clean, and the service amazing.
This is footage from flight 190, A321 service between San Diego (SAN) and New York (JFK) back in late November 2019. The aircraft registration was N990JL, and I was seated in 4A for the 5 hour flight.

You don't swing the camera around yourself or the public, nor be obnoxious around people, which still works pretty well since your voiceovers are high quality and calming.

You definitely have to try it! It’s a shame they don’t offer it on more routes, but at least they have been expanding beyond just JFK-LAX/SFO.

Im flying jetblue from jfk to orlando international but to my knowledge there's no mint. Plus it'd be a waste for a 2 and 1/2 hour flight
mint certainly looks a great product, cant wait to see Jetblue fly across the pond in 2021 and show us Brits how really good Jetblue are.
JMclawman511 the only reason why I don’t use JetBlue is because I usually fly on a partner of United to Denver and then to Florida on United. JetBlue is really expensive and does not fly directly to Florida from Denver
JetBlue is my go-to for domestic flights. International flights I choose Delta

Noah Moelter try Newark terminal 3. It’s really nice. Terminal 2 is the worst. The new terminal 1 plans look good though, but the current one is trash.
No, as a local who’s had to fly too many times out of terminal 1 (Southwest, mostly), it is primitive and tiny, a relic of the 1960’s…thankfully…it’s finally due to be modernized in the next five years

I don't think I can afford business, nor do I need a zillion places to plug things in on a 6 hour flight. I don't want to have to pick my flights based on menus, and would really rather eat properly before the flight, or bring something I know I'll like on with me. My preference is to find a good deal on a good seat, and buy TWO so I know I can relax.

I Started with jetBlue back in 2003 , We had 2 flights to Dulles and the rest to JFK ! I was was in FLL was a Hub along with JFK and Long Beach . Wow how this Airline has grown !!!!
Thats why JetBlue is my favorite airline for transcontinental buissnes cpass travel.
N990JL was parked here in Long Beach for the past couple of months. It left on Sunday and is back to service. I just posted. Nice to see the inside of N990JL.

Hey Scott, great video as always. As a SAN based Alaska 75k, I was thrilled when they moved AS to Terminal 2. I never thought I would see the T1 Wheel of Death again, and chuckled when you went "for a walk". Such a miserable experience. It's unfortunate that JetBlue was shoved over there with Spirit and Southwest. Always looking forward to the next video, and if I see you in the terminal I'll give you a wave.

Alaska already had most of that concourse in Terminal 1 when they bought Virgin America, which was in Terminal 2. Once they consolidated operations, it all went to Terminal 2, and to make room for the ever-expanding Alaska network, the airport booted 3 or 4 smaller airlines back over to T1. But, help is on the way (along with a ton of construction). T1 replacement has been approved.
My week is made, a new SANspotter video from Scott! I have never tried Mint since I have not had the opportunity to fly Jet Blue since 2008, and heck I have only been in Business Class/First Class once and that was on Alaska back in 2013 but will hopefully have a Mint experience soon.
Enjoyed the video and all of my flights in Mint Class!
Mint really is amazing. I took it in February, a week before all this Coronavirus broke. I took it from LAX to Boston. It was awesome.

We don't have Jet Blue Mint in St Louis but this looks like it's worth taking a small plan to Chicago or driving to Chicago to fly to San Diego or San Francisco for family vacation in 2021

I never experienced JetBlue Mint,when I flew to Puerto Rico in 2016. But I did enjoy the flight. I'll definitely fly again on JetBlue the next time I travel.

From an Australian view this is a proper Business Class offering rather than 2 x 2 with an empty middle seat we see so often !! Glad your nuts were warm (sorry I promised to leave that joke in the terminal) Excellent flight by the look of things and a most comfortable seat. No more cookies also by the sound of things! I agree, I flew from Terminal 1 a week ago and it was soo small and crowded...I felt trapped....not a good first time experience for me departing SAN at all.

I’ve been consistently been able to find lower fares for business class on another major carrier from NY to LA. Every time I price, Jet Blue never has a lower fare so have not tried Mint.
I have friends in St. Louis and have been many times and always via Chicago or Minneapolis St. Paul . I’m actually thinking of maybe next time into New York on a cheap ticket and then maybe jetblue mint if they fly to St. Louis ? Love your channel truly is right up there 👆
Terminal 1’s replacement was just approved a few days ago by San Diego airport authority the report said it will cost 3 billion hopefully its worth it
Not sure I like the look of this - I don't like Business class products that have two considerably different grades of seat in the same cabin - ends up like a mix of Business and Business Lite (or Business and Business Plus, depending on whether you're a glass half full or half empty). Out of curiosity, is there a difference in the price between the two seat designs on this airline?
I travel from San Diego to Fort Lauderdale frequently but JetBlue has not added Mint to that flight. I did contact JetBlue and they said that Mint takes up too many seats and they can not add in Mint as there is only one flight a day to Fort Lauderdale. However, if and when they add a second flight then they would probably add Mint.
Lol I always try to book that seat when I fly Mint.

yes Terminal 1 is too small, but its no LaGuardia or Newark.
It was a pretty brief glance at the dinner, and although I couldn't quite identify either chicken or salmon, I'm sure it was there and it was good. In general, US domestic flights don't exert themselves to make business class or first class as special as you'll find elsewhere, so it isn't hard for JetBlue to be the leader of the pack.
Have to agree with you, Mint was and still is a breath of fresh air (and comfort) for those of us that live on the left hand coast but don't live in LA or San Fran. Having a nice layflat bed was a dream on the LAS-JFK route, much like SAN we got the older cabins even though the flights were just as long and priced just the same as LAX/SFO, and then came B6....And in a instant DL/AA/UA lost their JFK bound premium passengers, shocking huh. I actually had that conversation with my DL rep, he seemed shocked that I would switch my Bi Weekly flights to B6. Now all is not perfect, the food can sometime try to hard and IMHO, the FLL ground staff suck, but, I still silently thank the person who decided to give the non LAX/SFO crowd a decent seat...Except for those footwells, 6'3 and size 13 feet, so yeah, not so good there.

Nicest seat's I've ever experienced, makes Delta's first class seem like a complete waste of money. The only issue I had was that I did not realize the extent to which pressure would build up in your head when sleeping on a plane for that long. I flew from San Diego to New York and passed out for the whole flight on a red eye and woke up with an enormous headache.

United is in Terminal 2 which was updated in 2013 terminal 1 was just approved for replacement a few days ago

This is not for the average economy class/coach traveler. You are in the upper socioeconomic echelon. It does make sense to fly comfortably 5 plus hours cross country.

Awesome! I just flew in a Jetblue Mint Suite roundtrip from SEA-BOS during the pandemic and was highly impressed (made a vid on my channel if you're interested!). It is by far the best domestic first class. :)

I'm glad you stipulated the best "domestic" business class, because this is no where near the best when compared to numerous international carriers. It's also important to point out that the world's best carriers typically have three class service where First Class is out of this world. Try Emirates for example and this looks nothing more than cute.
Fantastic video Sanspotter!! I was in San Diego a few days ago, I took the Hawaiian A321 to Maui and back and I had a fantastic experience. Just how you filmed it about 2 years ago. San Diego airport is awesome (at least Terminal 2 😂) and I am not from there so if I say this I’m sure other people from other countries also like it. Keep doing awesome trip reports man! And btw, you really should take the Avianca LAX-SAL flight in Business, Itook it 2 days ago and had a nice time.
