@@FanOfMostEverything The condition on his ability is what gives me pause. I know there's a specific way of wording such abilities where it would give as many copies as Volos as another way where it wouldn't. It's generally a matter of where the "if" is on the ability, IIRC.
@@RaynmanPlays Yeah, intervening if clauses or targeting restrictions can be weird. Multiple instances of mentor are a good way to see that. Fortunately, Volo's trigger doesn't have any ifs or targeting! As long as it triggers, it will resolve (barring any Stifles or the like.)

might I recommend adding purple worm. It's definitely not the best high cost green card, but it is a worm, while bookwyrm is a wurm. Rarely is that relevant, so why not take advantage of it when you can?

The biggest surprise of this video is that you didn't try to do Volo Mutate. It's really brutal because Volo will actually copy the Mutate onto the same target as the original. For example: You Mutate Stirix onto something while you control no Beasts, you get to dig 3 times (1 deep once for the first Stirix, and then 2 deep twice for the second one) and if you don't put them on top, you still have 0 Beasts.

Are you okay, bro? If even LVD's calm, buttery-smooth explanations are "panic-inducing," I feel kind of worried about you. There's a lot of hotkeys for the RUclips video player that can help you if you get confused about what's going on! Assuming you're on desktop, K (or spacebar, but spacebar doesn't always work) can pause the video if you want to read a card yourself. Left and right arrow keys (or double tapping on the left or double tapping on the right for mobile devices, iirc) will seek backwards or forwards respectively by five seconds. The comma and period keys can move backwards or forwards respectively by one frame, if you paused just an instant too late or something. And lastly, there *are* time stamps if you want to skip the explanation (also, clicking below the progress bar will pop up a little window to the right showing the time stamps), but why are you skipping the deck explanation if you're frequently disoriented by what's going on?

It should work. If there's 1 thing i know you shouldn't play in a volo deck, it's maskwood nexus

Having to wait until you can keep up a counter is too slow, maybe protection like Snakeskin Veil. But control decks are no fun when playing with Volo.
