- Today I’m going to share 7 common capsule wardrobe mistakes that a lot of people make on their simplifying journey. I did my fair share of mistakes as well, so I’ll share how I approached these mistakes in hopes that you can avoid them :)
When we’re learning to simplify our closet and improve our style is inevitable that we’ll make a few mistakes here and there. So if you feel discouraged with your capsule wardrobe or you want to give up, give it some time so you can really curate the closet that works for you.
As I said, I made some big mistakes that cost me money and time, but with time I learned more about my closet and style, and now I’m free to fully enjoy my wardrobe.

In tip 7, you totally hit it out of the park. I am always on the hunt for "the perfect_____", and I am coming to realize like you that this perfection does not exist. The idea of being content with 80-90% of closet is a keeper!!!! I just heard a few days ago something similar-- if we take an average of our closet pieces, with 10 being perfection, we are just trying to keep average as close to 10 as possible. Love your videos.
Yes, I know the feeling very well 😃😅 I was a big perfectionist back in the day in every area of my life but I've come to realise that perfectionism always comes with a price. What helped me shift my perspective is a talk from Mel Robinns where she explained that perfectionism is just a way of protecting ourselves from criticism and dissapointment, and that it has actually nothing to do with the perfect outcome. Very thought provoking, hehe 😉 But I'm super happy you like the idea of loving 80-90% of your closet. Thank you for your nice words and sharing your thoughts ❤️

I have a lot of duplicates, t-shirts like you mention. They are good quality and fit well though, so I don’t want to get rid of them. I think I will just store them away until the ones I keep wear out.

I know the feeling of searching for the perfect piece. It doesn't really exist and we probably had something better in our wardrobe that we decluttered lol I did that twice so now I'm very careful with the clothing I bring in. Thanks for the great tips!

I think rotate your winter then start bringing in lighter tops in may or June for summer
Keep winter tops on hangers if get sick of wearing so many then roll them up in a draw miss a month bring out again rotate

Hayyy! It's true what you said, we make one mistake through, for example, I duplicate clothes, preferably shirts, and I can't put them away 😊🙈

Im slowly getting there with the help of your video's i have the smallest space for my clothes but you break it down so well it really changes your life for the better.
