- Today we were at a franchise restaurant with a backed up floor drain in the dish washing room. These restaurants have frequent clogs do to foreign objects being sprayed or mopped into drain pipes by employees while cleaning, in the video you can see us pull a half dozen plastic straws and a utensil set out of another floor drain right next to the clog drain. We used a 5/16" cable machine to break down all build up in the first 10 feet of the drain pipe. As you can image being in the dishwashing room, food debris gets washed into the drain pipe and collects in the trap under the floor, we typically have to cable this drain open every few months.

My drain at work was not draining so I put a garbage bag on my arm and pulled out as much black gunk as I could, plunged it, and it was kind of draining 😂 anyways I felt like you guys 😂
Knock knock knocking on heavens door. Good tunes.🙂
Very great job pipe cleaning
pro. , bravo!!!
You went nowhere with that snake ..,you’ll be back next week
Hahahaha true
Yep
Fun fact: that drain/cover is used in GTA V. Especially seen on Michael’s house/mansion where there’s at least 19 on his property alone!
NLind Lol you think that would be a detail they would forget but they do a great job on making them as realistic as possible. Thanks for sharing 👍
Anything else ?
@@DrainPros why haven’t you made more videos
Two of my Dishpit drains clogged today had to stick our whole arms down the drain to try and unclog it
What size is the cable on the machine?
Those drains I believe have strainers so the snake won’t pass that I hate dealing with those , so I got the Milwaukee air snake usually does it like a charm
He’s not in Puerto Rico though.
I am using a 1/2 cable, had trouble getting passed 1 elbow, ran into another and the cable started getting twisted on me
When you go into a business and they have copyright music playing in the background edit it out as you can get a copyright strikes against the channel
i like your drain machine. I wonder if I can get a 5/16 to that. I dont want to mess with a. 3/8
We mainly use 5/16” cables in the machines but have a few baskets that are 3/8” and 1/4” mostly 50’ long! Great drain machines for the price of them
How much is the one you are using?
Yeeaaahhhh!!!!!
This looks like The Chamorro village kitchen in Guam 🇬🇺
What's normal rate for this?
How much do yall charge for that?
im doing a old restaurant job they have 2 floor drain a mop sink clogged and i used the 3/8 snake and didnt unclog also have 2 clean out too and i stick the sneak in both but didnt unclog but other drain and mop sink are good so is just one area of the restaurant that is clogged im thinking of do the camera but i dont think this could help any suggestions
I'v started helping a few restaurants with clogged floor drains, regular plumbers come in, use a snake, poke a small hole in the clog, they see the water go down the drain, charge 100's of dollars and a few days later, it's stopped up again. Standard snakes are about useless on bigger grease clogs, which you often find in restaurants. I have found 2 things that really work, my favorite, the jetter then the chain cleaner. A good jetter is not cheap, then a nozzle that really works is not cheap either. On standard clogs, I run 4000 psi at 4 gpm, often it takes a standard head to blast through a clog, or a forward rotating head, but with the forward rotating, you will need a lot higher flow(like 8 gpm). After I get the clog somewhat opened up, I run the reverse turbo nozzle, which will scour the walls and make it look like new, increasing the flow and reducing the clogs a lot. The chain cleaner also cleans the walls great, but they are not really for breaking up a clog, especially grease. If the drain is slow, the chain will do an excellent job.
@@stevem1081 you are right I unclogged this restaurant. I sticked the snake in a sink away from the floor clean out and it did work , so it was good for about a month then went back this time I ran the camera and could see old cast rusted but I did the snake many times so it cleared the pipe completely I charged 250 or more depending the situation ,
Looks like you have gone to this location before
Definitely! We’re in that kitchen for different drinks usually once a week👍
@@DrainPros more money for you, less for them haha
To actually kneel on the dirty wet floor.
That was easy lol
cable too small want atleast 3/8 for a floor drain
How much
That man is very winded he should go see the doctor I'm not been mean or rude sir just your interest at heart
Bro move the snake closer to the hole. Stop wasting your gloves brahh .
Wtf??? That’s how you snake a drain?? You barely got thru the trap, you just moved the obstruction all the way down. I would’ve went out 75 feet and snake back inside and dumb gallons of water to make sure the stoppage is cleared. Sorry don’t mean to be such a critic, I too do sewer and drains and we do things so different in New York
Nothing wrong with what they did. Once it's cleared running the cable all the way out doesn't do much unless the line is full of grease and at that point bring in a jetter.
