My wife and I are going to foster teenagers. This makes me so excited. What a helpful video!

My husband and I have 2 biological children (12 & 14) so we specifically want a child 9-15. Agencies seem thrilled by this. Teens are just kids who need guidance.
I think a lot of people worry they won’t be able to form connections with teens.

Thank you for the video. I am following both you and Karly. We have four grown bio kids. We are fostering to adopt a 14 year old and visiting with his brother who is 12. The younger brother will probably join us this summer. He was just moved and I don't want him to move twice. Thank you for the support.

This was such a helpful interview! My husband and I are looking and praying into foster care/ adoption and my heart has definitely been opened to older kids who “age out”. Thank you for posting this!

I’ve heard the advice “find your village first” a lot. That would be an interesting topic to do a video on! For those of us that can’t fully rely on family members, what are some tips to finding a village in another way?
    Love this channel!

Love this idea! I will put it on my list of video topics to film. For us, our “village” was our friends from church. They really were there for us because we live far from family!

Thank you for all this info! We signed up to start the process of adoption from foster care in SC. They no longer allow signups unless you will accept 5+ in age. This works for us as we always wanted to adopt older kids, but it breaks my heart there are so many waiting on families.

This was great and I needed to hear this. I should have my foster license by the end of January and I have had people tell how crazy I am for only wanting to foster ages 4 to 18. It to mention those who think I'm crazy for being a single foster mom. This was vert reaffirming. Thank you
