    I just got a second-hand XT1 in mint condition and a mint condition second-hand 27mm f2.8 lens, both for less than $600 (and a one year warranty). The images are amazing, beautiful and sharp and the autofocus is very fast. Great for street photography. I had the Fuji X 100F last year but sold it because I didn't really like it., the images were a bit soft and the Acros wasn't all that great (I actually prefer the B&W simulation mode in the XT1 tweaked to my taste). You do need to update the firmware for both the Camera and the lenses (very easy to do) and then you have a really great camera . I think it outperforms the much vaunted X100F and even my previous Olympus OMD EM1 for image quality and it is almost as much fun as the EM1 to use.

    XC 50-230mm is an epically under-rated lens. Most Fuji shooters don't even seem to know it exists. I have an X100T, an X-T2 and an X-T20. This lens came with my X-T20 kit. I figured I would use it as a paper weight, door stop, or throw it into the trash. Man, was I wrong. This lens floored me, blew my mind. One of my favorite lenses in my collection. And I have plenty of Zeiss, Leica, and Fuji top end glass. Against all rationality, logic, and common sense, this lens holds its own amongst the best. The only issue is AF speed and low light performance. As far as image quality, it is truly mind blowing.

    There have been so many firmware updates to the X-T1 that all of the big camera reviews are out of date. Especially when it comes to video performance upgrades. If you are seriously considering a 16mp Fuji X do yourself a favor and look up the firmware update history for the latest stats, not the ones posted on DP Review.

    I only bought mine a year ago and was even happy with an X-E1 before that, the X-T1 (which I justified buying for "professional" use, festivals, bad weather, etc.) almost seemed futuristic in comparison. Even then it was super cheap, €400 in perfect condition (from a store with warranty), and if you're not into fast action and 4k video I really think this is all you'll ever need. Oh right, and Andrew sent me.

    I need to watch Beverly Hills Cop now! Great sound track. As for the camera, I have had the X-T1 for less than a week (April 2020) and feel like I've known it for years (actually I am still fumbling a little bit with the controls, but then my hands are used to a larger body. Time will sort that out.). I have been a Nikon shooter since I started photography 15 + years ago. I traded my 24-70mm and 70-200mm for this Fuji along with the XF 35mm f2 lens pretty cheap just "to see", and I've seen. Awesome kit. I'm going to give it a couple of months use before I make any decisions to make the switch, but if/when I do, I don't see the need to go for the T2 as this T1 checks all my boxes. Saying that, I won't be selling my D500 + 300mm f4 as that is a winning combo for my rugby and wildlife photography right now (well, after corona, anyway). Thanks for the video.

    Low light. As I remember focusing is not as good as the T3 but with twice the sensor pixel pitch the T1 should be less noisy at high ISO. I have a t2 and t3 and they say high ISP noise is better on the t2 but I can’t tell the difference between 24 and 26 meg. Each of these models gets heavier though.

    Does it make any sense to pick that camera above the a6000?
    It might be better for photography but the a600 is a little better in video?
    What do you think i schould buy, ill buy a used camera anyways and i want to get the best for the money, i have been shooting most of my shots with a nikon d5000 in the past, so im not used to anything good, but im not sure which system i should pick now, sony or fuji, aswell for the future ill take both nearly the same amount, pictures and videos, so i need a balanced system and obviously, the lenes are important aswell.
    Do you have a tip for me? Is it worth to spend more on a xt 20 or a 6300 or is there any other option which makes sense for me? My budget is between 300 and 600 euro for the cam included a kit lens, and then ill spend a couple hundred more on lenses. A6000s are sold for about 330 Euros with the 10-55 use in solid to good condition.
    Sorry for my bad english and already thanks a lot for an advice, hope you understood my question :D

    • @Scott_Graham
      @Scott_Graham  5 лет назад

      If you're going to be shooting a lot of video and can justify the extra cost the X-T20 or A6300 would be a better choice. I'm partial to Fuji but the sony system is also very good.

      @@Scott_Graham I dont think ill shoot a lot of video, im travelling a lot and i usually do a aftermovie, just for myself and famliy or friends. My Computer has only 2 gb of vRam, so i wont use 4k at all, i mean 1080 120 would be nice, but those are at least 450-500 without the kit lens, so im about 600 at sony and about 800 at fuji... But at the moment, id like more to pick fuji, i have kind of a better feeling, dont know why...
      Is there any comparable option in the Fuji lineup? what about the X-T10 or the X-T100? And the X-E Models... Or is the X-T1 the best choise for the money?
      And thanks a lot for your answer, you help me a lot i think :)

    I wouldn't bother. I bought one at the very end of 2018 to take along as a third body with my two X-T2's. I did 5 weeks around Asia and barely used the X-T1. I'm even thinking of selling it. This comes from somebody who was a very happy X-T1 owner, before I bought my two X-T2's a couple of years ago. The T1 is still a nice camera and takes lovely images, but its just that deficit in all the tiny things that adds up to it being a pain. Not quite the dynamic range as my T2's, start up a tiny bit slower, autofocus on tracking and 'C' noticeably slower than my T2's, sound of the shutter is terrible, and when I have to crop in close the images break apart before the one from the T2 do. Imagine somebody with a T3 will notice even more difference. There is a reason why they are so much cheaper now than the newer models available. Here in Australia this mint T1 still cost me nearly 600 AUD - I'm wishing I had kept my money to spend on travel or another lens. Philip
