A mastectomy pillow was very helpful to have especially ride home with seatbelt. I had a drain bag, one which could get wet once I could shower, and a bother one when I needed to move around. They had some Pajama shirts on Amazon with drain pockets you can pin your drain. Preloaded moisten towels. You can wet them and have antibacterial soap which you can wipe down and refresh yourself- until you can bathe or shower. These preloaded disposable towels, you don’t need to rinse your body after use.

Why so many young people going through breast cancer? My wife and are in our early 70's made it so far without cancers. Maybe because we didn't have all the bad stuff in our food back then.

Hi I’m new to your channel and new to having breast cancer, I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer early nov 2020, I’m getting ready to do my second chemo treatment this coming week. I’ll be doing a double mastectomy after chemo so any advice I can get on things coming up for me I’ll take. Sending love from southeast Kentucky

Thank you for connecting, Amanda! I'm so sorry you're having to go through this. I went to Georgetown University for my surgery. If there is a good medical school near you, I highly recommend going there for treatment. Those doctors stay ahead of others in terms of latest studies and treatments. I had a Nipple sparing mastectomy and had implants placed at the same time. Mine are over the muscle so I had an easier recovery and have great mobility. Please let me know if you have any questions.
