i definitely prefer sliding on the hip/thigh vs the knee. Constantly sliding/banging my knee into the ground never ends well for me even with knee pads.
double knee slide is hard from vids i seen, cause you dont have control on stopping at the right spot. i seen guys go right into the bunkers and stuff. maybe a vid on how not to slide wrong? keep up the great vids!!
I agree, but if you got spft knee pads, you can get the slide on, slowing down you gotta use your feet and push them together and get on the toes, or as you slide in you tuck and plant one feet thus spining you and you decide to spring up or wait for stop. These ain't easy, you need ankle compression to help as well, and it burns energy like a mofo. I can do only a few and I'm like "I got my work out done today" it is risky for your ankles.
Not if you are using knee pads. None of these are ineffective. They are useful in their right situation. I can agree some slides are unnecessary but that is only when they are used when not needed (I.e. a Superman or something into a bunker you don’t need to).
I dont mean to bash i know its a common slide but I just think the risk of injury is too high to use this slide, too much pressure on the knee and once it breaks it can never go back... second slide goes lower and less pressure on the knees so it makes sense to use that one instead in all situations.
The sport is still young so the feedback from injuries and joint wear are still to come. But i would bet a player using the latter slide would be safer long term.
If you are just landing hard on your knee then possibly but if you have the knee protection that will help. Also if you collapse into the slide there is a lot less pressure.
How To Play Paintball yes. Or even when you first get to bunker and how to stay flush against the bunker while peeping for any potential targets or lanes to shoot. I’m having a difficult time staying close to my bunkers and not getting my pod pack shot out when i’m shooting on the opposite side

My recommendation is go to your local shop and see what feels best to you. Also, at your local field try out different guns. Ask if you can shoot a few balls and see how it feels. Most people will let you.
Go to your local field field and pickup a; Shocker XLS, PE 170R(160R, Gtek), Dye DSR. See which one you like most and then decide which one you would like to buy. First slide is used to destroy your knees plus its kind of ineffective but it looks cool, might as well run and stop. Second slide is legit 👍

Ive watched this video 5 times but ive finally figured out the knee slide! Its not perfect AT ALL but its progress!
Practice! Go slow at first for sure 👍

This is my first period teacher
what kind of shoes are best for this kind of sliding
I use football cleats but really any clear with teeth will work. It would come down to preference.
Am the only one who can slide very comfortably on my dominant side and not on the other so I just opt to dive instead 😂
That’s where practice comes in!
I noticed how important kneepads was while i was trying to do this in my room lol
Haha! Yea don’t hurt yourself!
@@howtoplaypaintball Yeah which kneepads do you personally use
I use the Carbon bottom layer. The ones where it is the knee pads and the sliders combined.

Cool video. But real quick, what marker would you choose in the 600-700$ range? I was looking at the Shocker xls, but I want to explore all options.
PE 170R
Over the XLS?
XLS is a great gun unless your a larger fellow with larger hands. The Dye DSR is another great pick up. Ask people on your local field to try them out

How do you slide so far?
The grass or turf is a factor but I’d say practice as well.

Absolutely! With all of the slides you can do you should practice them.

Lose weight
My problem isn’t how to slide, its sliding on grass specifically
