The more I hear your MTD basses the more I realize why you switched from Brubaker!!! Clarity, punch, growl, and a RIDICULOUSLY DEEP AND DEFINED LOW B!!!!!!!
Matter of personal preference I guess, but for my money a Smith 6'er is always going to get the nod. Playability, build, components, overall sound, second to none. Roscoe and Warrior are other luthier builds that I believe transcend MTD in the categories mentioned. In short, I would beg to differ with your declaration of MTD as America's 6 string bass. Not disputing that it is a very good electric bass, however, such a bold statement will always elicit an alternative point of view. But then, that is what America is all about...freedom of expression. I will do mine on my Smith. Thanks anyway for your opinion.🎸🎵👑
Not a problem my friend. Didn't recognize that as a tongue-in-cheek symbol, equating to facetiousness. Especially since many a RUclips bass jock swears eternally by their choice of axe and assorted equipment as the best the world has to offer, for one reason or another. Nevertheless, you're a very talented bass player. I appreciate your God given talents. That's my bold statement! 👑🎸🎵
Busta Bass Haha, Thanks. I had many brand of basses and they all sounded great in my hands. I am very picky about how comfortable a bass feel in my hands, so brubaker and MTD is the only company who makes my neck profile to the shape and measurements I desire on a 6 string bass. (Nut width 50mm, thickness 18mm back to front) and so on. I had two Ken Smith 6 in the past. I got Kevin Brubaker to re shape to back of the neck to a thin profile, it played almost like butter other then Han the nut width was still too wide for me. But hey, there are many many brand of Basses on the market that sounds awesome these days, I go for my personal comfort since tone is in n my hands via a good amp and speaker. So that’s some of my bass story.......I’m at rehearsals now and church. Chat later 😊
@@malcolmhallonbass Thanks for sharing part of your story, particularly that you give of your service to edify the Kingdom of God. I too am a Praise and Worship bassist. I've come to the conclusion that He is the source of all of my blessings and whatever talents I might have. For that, and His Grace and Mercy I will forever give Him praise! (Ps 150:4-6)
