Michael Tobias hand picked the production company in China because he wanted to make sure he was getting exactly what he was looking for! Also I heard that MTD inspects all bass' from china before sending them out for retail!
I own one of these basses. Best bass I've ever played. Unfortunately I played it to the ground. It needs a fret job, or just a new neck. Also inner electronics need some TLC. Can't get volume without lotsa noise. I've had this bass for 15 years.
Sounds amazing!!!! I just got a Kingston Super 5, my first MTD, which is incredible!!!! I may have to get a Kingston AG6!

Hey Johnny, I know it's been a while since you posted this but how would you say these Gouche Kingston basses compare to the Bongo 6 strings?
