Believing the quote that you are born alone, die alone and everything else is an illusion, George doesn't see the point of life, school, or homework. Then he meets Sally and he now has a reason to go to school and make friends, even if he's not ready to admit to himself or to her that he likes her. The school's principal and art teacher introduce him to an alumni, and successful artist, Dustin, who can help guide George along life's path, but other distractions start surfacing, and George might not even be able to graduate from high school.

This movie reminds me of Charlie Bartlett. Socially awkward boy who wants nothing more than to fit in meets a girl and suddenly doesn't care about anything else in the world. However, there's a problem much larger than he is that he needs to take care of before he can walk off into the distance with this dream girl.
He made it sound pretty good only to give it a 6.2 lmao
Just saw this movie. I loved it. Emma Roberts has very captivating eyes.
This movie looks horrible. Sounds like you're being waaaay too nice to it as well. 6.2? Why bother??
WTF, this sounds like the plot to "It's Kind of a Funny Story", which ALSO has Emma Roberts!
Freddie Highmore is what made me enjoy this movie
@MacMaraScott Make some friends, get some help, sincerely, a fellow human being.
Not good, but not bad
i wanna watch it so bad..
i liked the term 'half baked philosophy', kim you're my fav reviewer :>
Jonathan why aren't you on with the other critics of What the flick? You and Christy Lemire are the best part of that channel.
This movie is magnificent. The places, paintings, lights are perfect and so calming to watch I really loved it. This beautiful movie represents art, life, the meaning and the absurdity as well. It is complicated I do not know what to say. I felt like there were some French vibes in the movie. The story is somehow smooth but strange. I loved the songs and the clothes aww they were simple, elegant and clear. The movie reminded me of those lonely nights and the empty days that I had been going through. Everyone who helped creating this movie will never be forgotten.
Jon Kim just got into the octagon and submitted this review through anacondachoking the living fuck out of it.
This movie makes me feel old. Oh no wait, it's the actor. How has he grown up so fast?
Other than that, Jonathan, your reviews are seriously good.
hey jonathan, just wanted to say that you're an excellent reviewer and that I really enjoy your work on WTF/TYT
you are way better then the other reviewers, they suck at reviewing films.
lol JKim's review is probably better than watching this 90m borefest.
English is so beautiful when smart people speak it. Great review Jonathan Kim!!!
J. Kim. Why aren't you with the others WTFlick critics more often?
wow you REALLY analyzed this movie. Great job.
Haha to get by in life, you have to get over yourself! And somehow it's so true!
So most of what you said is possitive. and then you give it 6.2 ?
wow freddie highmore turns out to be so frking hot
Great review, but... I'll pass on the movie.
Does anyone think "The Art of Getting By" refers to George's painting?

Everything about this movie sounds annoying.
