  • This is how I fix my transmission on my Lexus
    My transmission was HARD SHIFTING Every gear it had. Then I was missing 4th & 5th Gears. Really odd?
    My mechanic recommended replacing my transmission
    My local Lexus dealership was no help. 500$ each Solenoid & recommended replacing the entire transmission
    Online ( EBay, Amazon) we’re cheap but if you buy a transmission solenoid definitely go OEM
    Before you start you will need Toyota ATF here is the link to the OEM oil: amzn.to/3zeuO6M

There is some info online but not like this video showing you how to do it exactly. I went to school for auto. But ended up changing professions, lol but I am very good with my hands lol

    My big question is once you drop the transmission pan then put the new Solenoids in, The fluid is still stuck in the converter. So what comes out is this the only fluid replaced??? It seems to be the largest question out here.

    • @g32k
      @g32k Год назад

      The fluid doesn’t become lava after you drop the pan it’s not a big deal if you have a trans cooler or torque converter that’s still full of old fluid unless you grenade the trans and there’s metal in the fluid

    Hi there, I have a check engine light and I'm due for smog/renewal. Scanner shows P0765 SHIFT SOLENOID D. It's a 2003 Camry 4cyl. My problem is, I don't know which one is the SHIFT SOLENOID D so I can replace it. The dealer was helpful but the repair manual on their system does not pinpoint which one is the solenoid D either, neither which one is the shift solenoid among the 5 total solenoids. Any suggestion? @@anthonyg1417 si. No era nada que ver con la transmission. Le hice pequeños arreglos a el motor. Le cambie el fuel regulator y le limpie el intake manifold de depositos de carbon. Bien adentro del los pasillos y hasta donde se ven las valvulas de intake. Tambien le limpie el throttle body y le cambie el sensor MAF. No e vuelto a tener ese problema despues de hacer le todo eso. Te recomiendo que se lo hagas a tu vehiculo. Hay muchos videos en RUclips de como hacer eso. Es relativamente facil pero require de mucho tiempo. Las partes y los productos que utilize no son caras. Y tambien te recomiendo instalar un oil catch can para que collected el EXESO de aceite que suele meterce en los pasillos del intake manifold y que termina obstruyendo las valvulas del intake.

      P0763 is shift solenoid "C" (or 2nd gear)
      You could have no symptoms. or you could have symptoms like hard shifts into and down in 2nd gear.
