In my humble opinion I think that the V8 Vantage is the prettiest car I've ever seen. It's so beautiful. A few years back we had a lotto type thing here in New Zealand where one of these was part of the winners package. Great car brother
IMHO I agree. I was all set to get a DB9 cos I thought it was prettiest until seeing the V8V up close and I was sold. The strake is only on the wing which looks cooler to me. Reminds me of a muscular cat with 4 awesome arches
Brought my 2007 some 5 years ago with 14,000 miles on the odometer. I use her as a daily and she’s now on 44,000 miles. Tempting fate but in my experience she’s been pretty reliable - a couple of O2 sensors, air conditioning pump and two year later the condenser and apart from regular servicing and consumables such as tyres, brake rotors and pads that’s been it. I still get a buzz every time I look at or drive her. As has been previously mentioned parts from Aston are expensive - for example rotors are £700 each yet they are Brembo items and if you are in the know you can purchase the self same part from them at a quarter of the price. As an aside here in the UK £30,000 will buy you a nice early 4.3 V8 Vantage with AM service history and about 50,000 miles on the odometer which could make an import an attractive proposition.
They're great cars, especially with a manual and they're not as flashy as a Lamborghini or a Ferrari, which is a good or bad thing... Great video 👍 Edit: If you want to get more views, consider putting hashtags in the description of each video... It will give you a lot more reach for such an underated channel...
I remember seeing/hearing one of these in Cottesloe years ago and it was ridiculously loud. Like, insanely loud. I've never heard any Commodore/FPV Ford/Japanese Import that loud. From everything I have read, these are actually quite reliable, but if they do need parts and you go get it serviced at an AM dealer, you'll pay prices higher than even Ferrari prices on parts.
Love the exterior. Love the color of the headliner, and it’s in great condition. This car I would purchase to resell. Even like the color of the carpet. However, the red interior is the reason I would turn around and sell it. Exterior is beautiful.
I love these cars, I remember they raced them in the GT class. I wonder where all those racing cars are now, probably sitting under tarp in someone's back yard
Backyard? You’re tripping, those cars are worth over $300k and have no ground clearance, you gotta store them in a proper garage not some dirty backyard 😂
Great review. You are so right a manual car really does provide a stronger emotional connection to the driving experience. My daily driver is a 6 speed manual and I truly love driving that car. My Aston Martin DB9 is an auto and it was a conscious choice to go for the auto (manual DB9's are very rare, approx 4% of total production numbers were specified as manuals and they carry a large premium) as I really wanted the more relaxed GT experience as I'am in my sixties now. Don't regret that decision as for me the DB9 is a cruising type experience and I have no desire to drive the nuts off it. But, there will always be a manual in my life.
If the factory throttle response was not inhibited to 65% in a few of the gears the Vantage (particularly the 4.7) would likely smoke it. Purportedly AML could not have a V8 out muscle the V12 of the more expensive GT
@@brettannica in my opinion the whole attraction to the Aston Martin brand in the day these came out, were the priorities more in luxury, comfort and style rather than speed and racing ability. So I'd agree that the V8 would likely have the DB9 beat in a race, but thats not what they're for in my mind. Not surprising they had to peg back the V8 though, the V12 doesn't make a lot of power.
@@henkojo7814 The V8V has a lot more drama than the DB9. It's livelier and the chassis is extremely well balanced and tight, hence it's extensive use in the GT race series
That noise is amazing! I wish they still sounded like that today, they still sound good, only because they use the AMG twin turbo V8. Too bad this one is too old or you could've mentioned the "Unlimited mileage, bumper to bumper, warranty" as professionally coined by Doug DeMuro.
I finally got one! A 2012 V8VS Roadster. No manual😢couldn't find one. Anyway, love this car. It's smaller than I thought it would be, but handles even better than I thought.
What a nice looking car hey Johnny Mate WOW,but way out of my price range & if I did own it I'd have to wear a suit & sip on a martini shaken not stirred while driving it ,I would feel like bloody James Bond lol, nice one bro loved it.
you don't have to pull fuse 22 to be obnoxious. it will create the same noise at anything above 3500 RPM. and if you stay below that RPM it's the sound is still excellent.
Nice vid mate. Is that standard exhaust? Notice the dash is very high so visibility limited out front. I am 6'2'' tall so would that compensate for it? Thanks again!
Thanks bro, Last question haha. Aston Martin vantage 4.3 or 4.7 manual Or Maserati Gran Turismo 4.7 Honestly appreciate it interacting with comments here.
I know mate as I own one - a daily driver- with close to 100k kms on it with absolutely no issues - which is in stark contrast to Audi's, BMW'S and Porsches that I've also owned. It's currently getting the V12 clutch fitted in preparation for a 600hp/600nm supercharger. So... Nevermind your comment
Hi Martin, They're expensive if you buy parts via AM themselves. As Ford owned AML when the VH platform cars were built a lot of minor parts are from the Ford/Volvo/Jag/Landrover parts list. If you know where to look you can save big $$ 😉

Gotta agree it’s very timeless and yet that noise 😍 amazing GT
It was based on the DB9 that was released in 2004,a year earlier. The DB9 is super cool.

I have owned my 2011 Vantage 4,7S for 3 yrs now - chosen over Audi R8 and Porsche 911 No Regrets!!! ( I am from Denmark 🇩🇰)
Awesome choice 🤙

Oh man, probably the most beautiful car for me. What a sound.
The noise with a manual, RWD and the looks 👌
Oooooo an Aston! Congrats on scoring that to review. Love it, even though it's a bit slow

Absolutely love the exterior color of this car.
The design is masculine enough to make it look powerful, but also feminine enough to make it look sexy! Few cars pull that off successfully.
Totally agree! 🔥
Wow that sound of the engine alone is making me want to sell my 911 for that! LOL.
