Hello there Tavarish! I’ve been watching you videos for a few months since shopping for and Aston . Originally I wanted a db9. V12 but after reading how much more expensive it was to work on i leaned towards the Vantage v8. Anyway, I went to Charleston, Sc this weekend and stopped in South Carolina to look at a Vantage 2007 exactly like yours with maroon / red interior. Beautiful and sounds amazing. I made an offer on the car and I’m waiting to hear back. (If I buy it I’m going the take the fuse off that makes it sound better )
Really cool......your neighbors probably think you have several hundred thousand dollars of rolling stock with the big Merc and now an Aston. Best part is, you have less than the cost of a new pickup truck in all 3 vehicles (including the Elantra) Well done :-)
'07 slate blue v8v - silver painted calipers, they are brembo, also has logo facing out in the rear I've been using the ArmorAll brake dust spray on my wheels, makes them much easier to clean, I just use compressed air Your roof antenna looks like it doesn't have the stock rod, could you get a shot of it? Volvo key fob does not have leather back LEDs must be part of the radar detector, they are not stock You have auto climate control by turning the fan dial full counter clockwise Look up Dension Gateway 500 for Ipod/USB/Bluetooth music That sill looks terrible! Clean that engine bay! It does look like there's some oil seeping through seals. Don't use the extended storage battery button - Programmed memory gets messed up The audio input box in the fuse area is aftermarket
Car looks absolutely lovely! Glad you made it home safe and drama-free. Interesting to note another Ford connection is the Tibbe style key, which was used on many Euro Fords and Jags starting in the 80s (including my Scorpio, and the XJ220) all the way up to the first-gen Transit Connect. A useless bit of trivia is that any Tibbe key will lock the doors of any other vehicle that uses a Tibbe key, but obviously won't unlock it. I'm guessing the red LEDs in the gauge cluster are aftermarket, and may have something to do with the radar detector, or an aftermarket security system. Also, I'm guessing that remote control in the glove box is for whatever piece of stereo equipment is sitting next to the fuse box in the trunk. Anyway, look forward to the content and enjoy the new ride!
ok so I think those red LEDs and beeping sounds are apart of the radar. if you look up K40 radar they have a similar system where you install lights into the dash, left light meaning radars are coming from the left and same with the right.
It an AWESOME ASTON MARTIN. I have one, stock. 43k miles on her, Ava, is her name. Best car I have ever owned. I even started developing an over bite since owning it. Haha. Titanium Silver, immaculate inside and out. Traded up from a 2017 Porsche Macan S. Day to night comparison. I’m staying at this level!! I foam wash her, don’t want the swirls in the paint.
Check out EBC Red Stuff Pads, they are made for cars like this with high speed aggressive stops and spirited driving. They have significantly much lower dust than what you're current pads put out. P.S they just so happen to be a U.K company just like you're car haha
the slotted brake disc IMO, are the main culprit for the brake dust.... they tend to eat the pads quite hungrily, so even if you do change the pads compound, it'll still be as dusty as before
I thought those LEDs were the blind spot sensors letting you know what is on your sides while driving. It may be to early of a car to have that feature but that is the only thing I can think of!
The car is really nice. Please keep us posted on your story with the car, including the costs to maintain it. I am thinking about getting an exotic like that, too, but maintenance costs kinda scare me.
The little display is also Volvo stuff, including fonts. Nice car, overall. Enjoy and congrats for the channel. Please do a W140 review and a Saab 9000 review.
The Vantage is the best looking car in the world. IMO Henrik Fisker's absolute masterpiece. Everything about it is perfection. The calipers ASTON MARTIN writing is correct this way another amazing detail to read from one angle. The beeping and LED is from your radar detector. If the car was equipped with USB, you have the connector in the middle console.
If you don't mind me asking, did you pay cash for the Aston? Being that it's a private sale, if you got financing, could you share who you went through?
I like your jalopnik articles and you seem like a decent guy but these stream of consciousness videos are pretty long and rambling. With your 3000gt videos it was just quirky stuff that was interesting. But, this car has a history of nice tight, edited (even with the crazy wireless mic), funny and interesting videos with Doug, which is night and day to this here. If you did a story outline of what you wanted to talk about beforehand and a bit of editing this would be a much more engaging
totally disagree. Not that this is a competition between Doug and him but his videos are much more mechanically minded videos that many like. "Rambling" is not the word I would use...detailing is much better. "seem" like a decent guy...not the words I would use..."great" guy, more like it. Stop judging so hard and enjoy...having said that, when you come out with videos...let me know...I'll judge them...wont.
It's funny that the keyless entry is Volvo and that key looks very Ford. I had the exact same shape key in my Australian Ford Falcon from 1996. Has a special name Ford gave the design, which escapes me.
It blows. You have to buy cd's to update it. I had a friend with a mercedes from that era with a very similar nav system and the cd's are impossible to find and already outdated even if you could find them. I think that screen is much better suited as a backup camera.
These cars, like all exotics, are heavily depreciated with mileage and 60k miles is really high for an Aston. Unlike other exotics, AM isn't swept up in the value bubble so these cars are a screaming deal, even the ones with 1/3 the mileage.
Paisa you mentioned a seat level that lets you into the rear where common folks like myself would use. You referred it as "what poor people would use", wow your wealthy with your 2007 and look down upon us who don't have this car or similar to this money pit. Yes I did say it. If You have ever listen to Doug who did do a review on this very car you purchased it from. And all the failures it has had. Doug was saying how happy he was for purchasing the extended warranty after market. In which more than $7000was spent to repair parts that was covered. Luckily he had the extended warranty. So Mr. Money don't close your wallet quickly, your in for a ride. I truly hope none of us poor folks has to hear the money woes that goes with the repairs of this beautiful CAR !
do not change the oem pads with after market... they squeal like hell. you calipers are perfectly fine. they are brembo four piston. also check the grove orientation on the brake disks on left and right side.
Such a beautiful face and voice. Underneath the surface however, depreciation and repair bills that will also take your breath away! An “auto” that incorporates a clutch? No thanks. Sadly that’s why there are so many cheap 2nd hand Aston’s on the market
I think the DB7 is the prettiest Aston Martin there is. The Vantage is a little too short for my taste and the DB9 looks less delicate and therefore in my opinion less graceful.
Found a Vantage for $32,000... Never thought I'd see the day when getting an Aston Martin is a legitimate possibility.
Ahaaa, I remember Jeremy Clarson's special "Ice cold cool box" for just this car! Also the 007 car. So it's pretty much the peak/ceiling of cool 😄
Tavarish: Art of the ramble.
lol, love it. what an awesome car. Quality work as always, Freddy.

You drive an S class and Vantage, wife drives a Hyundai... how do you pull that off haha?

Is that Matt Farah's million mile Lexus?
I wish.
Astons are pure class! Congrats on this sweet ride

Is a piece of stripping coming slightly off on the driver's door?
I noticed that on Doug's video too!
Came looking for this comment also.
Beautiful car Tavarish, congrats! Although I'm still dying to know the story with your Lexus's!!
You'll see them soon enough!
But does it have a BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY?
Check out EBC Red Stuff Pads, they are made for cars like this with high speed aggressive stops and spirited driving.

14:07 it's Quagmire, Quagmire...

Tavarish, you mentioned wanting one of these for a while, but aren't you scared for when it goes out of warranty.
Nope.
You going to do anything about that panel gap on the driver door ?
The car is really nice. Please keep us posted on your story with the car, including the costs to maintain it. I am thinking about getting an exotic like that, too, but maintenance costs kinda scare me.
get you some Akebono carbon ceramic brake pads (Brake outfitters for the Mclaren P1)! little to no brake dust!
The little display is also Volvo stuff, including fonts. Nice car, overall. Enjoy and congrats for the channel. Please do a W140 review and a Saab 9000 review.
Sweet ride, always loved Astons and Jags!
And now I'm looking for used Astons on Autotrader... Damn you!!
The Vantage is the best looking car in the world. IMO Henrik Fisker's absolute masterpiece.
Everything about it is perfection.
The calipers ASTON MARTIN writing is correct this way another amazing detail to read from one angle.
The beeping and LED is from your radar detector.

Beautiful and perfect car, it would be a shame if you did any of the modifications you mentioned in the video.
The chime when it turns on is also taken from Volvo
Well done mate..A nice honest review..ENJOY!!!
i didnt know the ford fusion came in a coupe. it sucks we have no good twist roads in fl.
Ford definitely stole design stylings off of the Aston Martin
Awesome car just wondering will happen to the ultimate daily driver build?
Still going! Nothing changes!
APiDA Online Great looking forward to it!
Love these video's, cant wait for the next Aston/Merc video's !!
hey dude change the leather on the seats for Ultraleather® it would look so cool
I wonder if those LEDs are some type of like lane watch assist ? But I doubt it lol.
too old '07 wouldnt have those things
TJC450 maybe cause even my 05 rl has lane watch
Slap some Brembo Master Cylinders on that girl, you'll never have to break hard at all.
If you don't mind me asking, did you pay cash for the Aston? Being that it's a private sale, if you got financing, could you share who you went through?
$36,000, paid cash.
Word. Thanks man.
Good question I am looking for an 07 or 08 and want to finance if possible. Any suggestions on that, insurance and warranty?
This is one hell of a car, even with it's odd quirks( floppy hand brake and all)
i suggest you to wax the rims, i do that on my moms opel insignia which also dusts like crazy
Just Curious, Did you happen to buy this from Doug DeMuro?
yup!
Do you have the bumper to bumper warranty?
Those LEDs are for a built in radar system.
I like your jalopnik articles and you seem like a decent guy but these stream of consciousness videos are pretty long and rambling. Adddam tibbe
Yep, thanks for that.
Honestly, how bad is the navigation??
It blows. You have to buy cd's to update it. I had a friend with a mercedes from that era with a very similar nav system and the cd's are impossible to find and already outdated even if you could find them. I think that screen is much better suited as a backup camera.
hi what's a good price for a obd scane? 50 100 I need one for a 997.1
Who is that girl standing behind your house @8:35?
Haha, that's my wife. Man, that looks creepy.
Haha Yeah man kinda gave me the creeps.
In 9 years, this depreciated $90k... Jesus....
Never buy new lol
These cars, like all exotics, are heavily depreciated with mileage and 60k miles is really high for an Aston. Unlike other exotics, AM isn't swept up in the value bubble so these cars are a screaming deal, even the ones with 1/3 the mileage.
but still work 30 and nothing less.
LeisureSuitSweatshop wqp
Slaolwhwhh/. SmLal
Aaqqq
Thats a K40 radar/laser at 9:26 not a V1
Such a beautiful car!
It's pretty funny how Doug DeMuro is still uploading content on this car, considering the fact that has sold it to you.
jordan brown I mean why should he just throw away all the videos he still has of the car
keep up the rambling about your car til the thrill wear off
Now that you have shown the world where you live. If you see a 1996 Black 3000 GT Spyder around town Give me a wave.
lighting silver is the color and brembo brakes
I love your video and your car!Would you still buy it?
you can always change the color of the interior? Whaaa? redye black???
Not gonna lie, the bit of metal trim on the driver door thats bent upwards triggers my ocd
I know that the 07 is better than the 06, but is worth paying the extra 1-5k for the 07 model
Enjoy the videos and eclectic collection.
you missed the center console
RCA hookups? Time to put a PS2 and play Gran Turismo 2 on a flat screen in the trunk. Car Domain here we come!

Sam White you're such a dumbass...
How much hp is she having?
DAMN clean them wheels ffs
He should get ceramic brake pads, as they dont dust as much.
Jeffrey Gentry the brakes on these things dust like crazy as Doug demuro said he had to clean his wheels every 3 hours when going on a road trip.
Did you buy this from Doug Demuro?
Ctek is swedish company not chinese.
do not change the oem pads with after market... they squeal like hell. you calipers are perfectly fine. they are brembo four piston. also check the grove orientation on the brake disks on left and right side.
oh and have the door check arms replaced...should be cover by warranty
Poterfield R4s. No sqeal or dust. Rick @ redpant.lol has and a great video on Facebook
#TavarishCar ?

Holy shit batman what is up with the amount of brakedust on those rims? Furthermore will you get it detailed and put on some clearwrap on the front?
You have a 2000 dls S clase and your wife has 160,000 Hyundai and you buy a 60,000 miles aston martin ? Great Priorities.
What did the wife do/say when she first saw it?
"Neat."
hey is this Doug DeMuro's Aston martn?
those led are not Aston Martin...must have to do something with you beeping radar detector mirror
If you get factory installed radar detector part of system $2995. option
I think the DB7 is the prettiest Aston Martin there is. The Vantage is a little too short for my taste and the DB9 looks less delicate and therefore in my opinion less graceful.
Am I the only one that noticed the fuel gauge ?
?
The review is way too detailed,i had to stop around 7mins in,i like to be in and out when it comes to reviews, enjoy them before i hit boredom.
