Hello, nice idea! I would suggest you put a thin layer of resin on the bottom and let it cure so when you go back and put the weights they don't show up as much :)

that is a good idea although it is difficult with the shape to get very little resin everywhere without it taking away space for the weights. I also thought of pre-painting the sides or try to paint the weights a similar colour beforehand but I do not mind the look that much so I did not go through the hassle of trying that.
