Layering Ribbon Pours and Swipes - Earthy Metallic Paints - Acrylic Pouring

Trying something a little different. I thought I'd try some a ribbon pour then go over it with the Swipe technique and then finish it off with the ribbon paint pour again. The combination of the the 2 acrylic pour techniques give the piece a lot of interest. Is it too busy though? Let me know in the comments below!

What is in your cell activator ?

She mentioned it was ratio 1:3, 1 being paint 3 being Australian Floetrol. I think she said Tbl. spoons which is usually 5mg

So how much approximate amount of each color you need for this technique n this size of canvas because my problem is I always ran out of paints 😢

If you search ‘Acrylic paint calculator’ put in the size of canvas, including the sides. You will be given the amount of paint you need. Hope this helps 🙏

Paint mix? 1/2 floetrol, 1/2 pouring medium and a little gack 800? I’m not sure what I heard.

@@fionascreativecanvas I have an organic brain injury and double vision now (because of it). I use to paint and do caricatures etc but don't have the concentration for it, but paint pouring, I can do and love it. I'm trying to figure out how to do a swipe on a rock, hmmm, any ideas?

Beautiful painting and beautifully done. As a retired chemist I worry about you and your choice not to use gloves to protect yourself from the dyes and metallics in the paints that you use. The company from which you purchase your equipment should have MSDS sheets, material safety data on the contents of their paints and pigments themselves. A layer of protection helps one to be safe rather than sorry. Good luck!

I will look into the metallic paints. I do believe they should be fine, but I will check. I often wear gloves. I have all the safety gear which I use for resin and spray paints. So I do take safety seriously.
