LeaLikesIcecream idk man I think that's a bit unfair to all the other youtubers - i don't think we should generalize all youtubers as "not writing their own book" just bc one person was reported to use a ghost writer. It sort of denies the hard work that a lot of youtubers most probably put into their works. But if you mean you like jack bc he hasn't come out with a book yet then ok. and if that's a criteria for you to like a british youtuber then also CHECK OUT PJ his short films are amazing ~
jess k I know, it is not a very educated statement...Of course, youtubers like Louise or Connor for example are very happy to be able to do something creative with their books so I feel happy for them. For me, it just feels a bit unfair that even though they are already very successful on the internet, they still get the chance to get a huge book deal. While there are a lot of small writers that are brilliant but never get the chance to publish...
LeaLikesIcecream I don't think one should criticise the youtubers for taking a big opportunity given to them. Wouldn't you take the chance to write a book if that's something you would love to do? The only ones you can blame for being unfair towards smaller writers are the publishers. It's not like the youtubers get the offer to decide whether they want to write a book or give the chance to one specific small writer.
Indeed! I dont agree at all with comments above me. Its not fair to "proper" writers who work on their material for years to be placed on a bookshelf, yet youtubers spend what? Maximum a year on their book and it sells out within weeks. They should leave the publishing industry alone because like i said it really is not fair. Also Zoella who used a ghost writer, in a sense just took advantage of her viewers to buy "her" stuff where as its not even hers. Its just got her name on it.
sammie ss Yesss, I completely agree with you! I hate how they take such a massive opportunity away from dedicated writers just to make a bit more money. I read Zoe's book out of interest and I honestly can't say it was any better than reading fan fiction😳 I hate how everyone's defending them when its clearly just another way to get richer from their army of teen girls.

This is probably one of the best vlogs I've ever seen. I laughed more times in this vlog than I've ever done in one single video on youtube. I was actually legitimately sad when it ended. Just everything about it was perfection. Actual perfection. Can't wait to see more of these! =]

It's 2020 and I've not watched this since it came out but it's just come up in my recommended and watching that section with Darcy and Louise at The Hub had me crying tears of laughter again
genuinely laughed so hard when louise was rolling off the ball and when darcy had the camera. also the singing was another highlight. gosh this one made me really happy :)
