    "7 Feet plus of muscle and mayhem that goes by the name of Marv." I am a big fan of Frank Miller as well. Great job again.

      Thank you, WP! Yes, that was a fun character to work on. I’m going to plan on something that uses more inks on future Inktober pieces.

    Walden, I'm so blown away with how you drew Marv! Your inking skills are something to behold and I learned a lot about how to approach that black and white contrast style of Frank Miller's Sin City style! I was really happy that you were motivated by my request. Cheers!

      Hi Grendel Prime. Thank YOU for requesting Sin City Marv! That was a great one to draw. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the video and it was defiantly fun to draw Marv. Love how vieees are giving me recommendations of what character to draw. I would have never thought of drawing Marv with that nice heavy ink work. Thank you again!

    Frank Miller's black heavy monochrome style is something I've always been curious about how to imitate. it just seems to present a lot of little details that you have to consider that aren't inherit to regular drawing styles and could trip you up. The cool thing about Frank Miller's style is that it's so stylized you don't need to add any other colors. Thank you this video was helpful in furthering my understanding of how I could draw like him.

      Hi Jason. Thank you for watching my video. Yes, not even close at all. I’m light years behind Frank Miller as he’s a legend in his art style. Thank you for the comment about the fridge style. Not sure what fridge style is, but I’ll take that as a compliment. lol. Thank you again for watching my video. If you like these types of video and want to see more, please subscribe to my channel. What an amazing piece, Walden! I love Frank Miller's work on Sin City and that style of art. You did such a great job in the same style. I enjoy heavily inked art and how the blacks create mood and helps define the lighting. I didn't know you painted as well...you are multi-talented. I've tried watercolors before but could never get things to looks right...watercolor is very tricky. Thanks so much for posting this, my friend...a very fun video!

      Hi Rometiklan! Thank you for all the kind words. Yes, I also paint, but not professionally. Just for myself. Watercolors and acrylics. I’ll show more acrylic pieces in future video. It’s my way adding more about my artistic side in these Inktober videos. But showing a little bit of my other art stuff. Half to hear your enjoying the videos! I’m be making more!

    Never would have guessed your layout was sin city

    • @WaldenWongArt
      @WaldenWongArt  3 года назад

      Yes, I’ll do layouts very rough and often times, the detailed just happens during the inking stage.
