You have the best sense of humor!! Thank you for being so fun and taking us shopping with you! I know it's probably kinda boring for you sometimes but it feels like plant shopping with a friend to us💚
I love calathea and marantas. I just wish my local nursery and lowes & Home Depot carried different types like yours. 👍 but I will keep checking, I might get luck. take good care of yours. I look forward to seeing how beautiful yours will grow.
When I saw that your Walmart had those small flowering cacti, I hoped your trip to Walmart was recent and and headed over to MY Walmart to see if they had any, and they had a bunch! A lot of times, I like to buy the small version of a plant and watch it grow bigger. In the case of flowering plants, I look for ones with buds, because I want to see them open! Most flowering cacti I’ve seen have few flowers or they’ve already bloomed and are withering. March has been a lucky month for me when it comes to plants. So far, I’ve found a small Tradescantia Zebrina and a Fuschia. When the buds open into flowers, they look like fluffy skirts with legs and ballerina slippers (the pistils??) hanging below the “skirt”. My latest lucky find was the flowering cactus.
The hoya is a crimson princess. And yes they sometimes look different. I have one that has big round leaves and one that has mostly cream and more narrow.
Contact your city to find out what chemicals they use in the water. A lot of places are using a different chemical than chlorine and it doesn’t dissipate. A Britta filter will help. I use one. I also bought a bottle of fish water conditioner and put 4 drops in a gallon of water.
You don’t need a fish tank. Just get a declorinator used in the aquarium hobby and treat your water before watering the plants. It helps with the yellowing.
I use tap water on my maranthas. They love a good shower and I bottom water them in between. Honestly I think showering them is what keeps them happy. I don’t have a humidifier and they have adjusted to my life. Ain’t nobody got time for their drama. Honestly they have been my easy plants just don’t let them Dry out! That’s when they crisp up on me
You should do an HEB video. I recently visited to one in Plano and got a smaller rojo congo and variegated peperomia fo $6 each and a milky way cast iron plant for $7

David, try the Zevo fly traps! I use them for fungus gnats!
Peppermint aromatherapy house spray helps, the cent keep bugs away.
Davis how do you take care of your never never plant???
Not a pro but I’ll give her lots of bright indirect light, humidity, and I’ll be buying some distilled water 😅😂 I really want to keep her happy.
David Walmart has it , it's called Brito fiter .
