So far they are my top 2 studio monitors to decide from. I know it is a price gap, but they both sound amazing compared to other studio monitors. I love to watch speaker comparison and sometimes end up buying one, then getting disappointed, then buying another one, and so on. I come into conclusion that the timbre characteristic of the speaker can't be heard through another speaker. What I heard from comparisson just a same song with different equalizer. Except if one of the compared speaker is very cheap and crappy, we can hear the song is distorted.
The point of these comparisons (at least for the Monitoring Speakers) is to listen for yourself how accurate they reproduce sound, you can tell if the speakers sounds too off or very close compared to the source track by how YOU hear them in YOUR speakers

@@elliottkingshott1163 I bought the R1855db shortly after my comment. I'm really happy with them, really detailed even at the lowest volume. I mainly use them to watch films/series and they are ideal for that because I can only watch quietly mainly in the evening. If you make them louder, something comes out under the rum compared to their size. I was also thinking about getting the R2000db for a little more bass. But that would have been unnecessary because, as mentioned, I mainly only use it quietly and the detailed is more important to me. If I ever need more bass, I can always connect a sub woofer
It's strange, but I didn't hear a big difference in sound. Anyway the difference in sound isn't so big as a price gap. If count the attachable cable in 1380DB I'll prefer 1380DB.
Probably because you're listening through speakers or headphones without sufficient low bass output. The difference is quite obvious from my EQed speakers and headphones.
@@4G12, no. And the diagram shows that sound difference not so dramatic as a price gap. Above 50Hz there is no difference. But at this frequency we have already -10dB.
@@belaruscitizen Stop just looking at the curves, thats the response in room as its recorded and this also tells alot already and is clearly audible, there are big differences to be heard, if someone uses sufficient equipment. Not to mention, this is just YT, with heavily compressed and cutoff sound. And "above 50Hz there is no difference" are you insane?^^ Listen to Man on Fire and Return to the Wild or so, they are the most revealing tracks and use good headphones and not your smartphone speakers. ;) And stop using the "price gap" as a cheap excuse, the difference here in Germoney for the Black 1380 to the 2750 is just 50 Bucks. (137 to 188€ or a 37% premium, which is not huge, also everyone knows that double the price doesnt mean twice as much sound in audio, the more expensive it gets, the less increase you get, but there is always an ever so tiny bit extra). But yeah the 1380's are not bad, a solid replacer for the aging but also cheaper 1280s. (I'm listening with an AE-7 and DT770Pro 250Ohm btw)
can I suggest Creative A250 2.1 speaker subwoofer system for comparison. They're phased out already but if by chance you can get them, I think they would be a great budget option for comparison

I don't have both but I bloody love my R1855db. they do really well at imaging too. placement definitely makes a massive difference though
