I met him at my summer camp, he taught a master class. He truly is the sweetest nicest person on Earth and he has the utmost amount of humility. I can't wait to see him in the rest of his endeavors, because you know he's gonna be a huge Broadway star and win lots of awards. And we the "Fansies" are gonna watch it all happen.

ugh I had never even heard of Newsies until I saw it with a school group in nyc on broadway and that was literally the happiest i was on that trip it was so amazing. and i love how after the show they all come out to meet you like good luck to the girls waiting 12 hours in line at a justin beiber concert to have seats a mile away i'll go see newsies, have amazing seats, and meet the entire cast after.

My son was just cast as Davey. He's very excited. My other son is a pre-professional ballet student so he's helping out with dance prep.
Im playing Davey in my school musical as a female. This video is rly helpful for analyzing a character especially coming from the og actor himself. Wish me luck :)

I think what LA Comet is referring to is that he clearly plays more than a little- his technique as shown by that brief sample is rock solid and Carrying the Banner isn't exactly easy to play, what with all those octaves and rhythmic stuff. Kudos to him for keeping that up, and how sweet that he volunteered to play the warm-up for all the other newsies.
I kind of thought this comment was about his piano skills, though as a very literal thinker, I thought my image was humourous. I don't play piano, but it does sound quite difficult. He is an amazing pianist and singer -- and actor, of course! -- and you're right, he's a very sweet guy.

my school group also got to meet corey cott (jack) the next day like he came and he talked to us about like how he got to where he is now and everything and he was just so amazing and he was like literally the nicest person ever.
