Bourbon Whiskey is made and/or age outside the state of Kentucky. To be named "Kentucky Bourbon" it has to be atleast aged in the state of Kentucky. For example Bullet Bourbon is actually distilled in Indiana, but aged in Kentucky. But when it really comes down to it Buffalo Trace is the only true last Kentucky Bourbon, all others are owned by outside entities. If I'm not mistaken I think Jim Beam is owned by a Chinese company.
I had a dumb mistake that I spotted after uploading the original that I wanted to correct. Only a handful of people saw the video by the time that I noticed the mistake so I deleted it, fixed it and re-uploaded it.

Great video Chris Why are there no people on the streets What day of the week was this? Louisville is the state’s largest city There should be people out & about Thanks keep up the good work
It was early in the morning on a weekend and people weren’t out as much as they normally are because the pandemic shut downs we’re still somewhat of a thing.
I used to work at the Philip Morris factory that used to be located at 18th and Broadway. Philip Morris used to be a fortune 500 company until they spun off Kraft. River Road out to the east end is a pretty drive.
You explained our complicated merger well! It took three tries to get voters to approve merger. The first two times, in 1982 and ‘83 it failed by tiny margins on ballot referendums. Finally an altered and rather messy version passed in 2002.
And hows that merger goin for ya ? Southwestern Jefferson County was particularly affected - in a bad way - The roads for example - the police protection has gone downhill - it's unbelievable - its sad - & it makes me mad as hell - Thanks Jerry - and you too "Skatepark" Dave - speaking of the skatepark - yrs ago it cost the taxpayers $10,000 a month cleaning up graffiti and maintaining the bathrooms - hilarious

Well I have a job offer in Louisville and I can say without a doubt that my own personal knowledge of Louisville plus theses in-depth videos I have decided that anywhere other than Louisville looks like a great place. I lived in St. Louis for 20 years and yeah North County, East St. Louis, and South St. Louis are terrible but everything west of downtown is nice. I can't say that for Louisville it's like Detroit and Baltimore. I don't care how much they offer me NO ABSOLUTELY NO.
I wonder if Kentucky's whiskey name "bourbon" came from King Louis' family/surname. Louisville was first a French outpost called "LA Belle." When Louisville was named Louisville, many French traditions were already firmly in place, and the residents more than likely adopted the French alcohol-naming process, e.g., "Champagne." Where only "spirits" produced in certain areas are allowed to use that name..? So I'm sure at one point in our history the story of only Kentucky being able to produce bourbon is true. Of course, that didn't last, and now any area can legally make bourbon.
I know. Ive lived here my whole life. Theyve always been like that. People dont care that are government wise. They dont give a million fucks. They claim they dont have the funds.
I bet you wont go to victory park(20th and Grand) or greenwood and Cecil and hop out your car and say "im looking for people with no teeth! This is Louisville ky right?"
The male singer from the mamas and papa’s last name John Phillips did a song called “Mississippi”where he mentions some gal heading down south from Louisville holding onto 100 dollar bill.

Sad that downtown Lou is kinda dumpy. Nice architecture especially on Main st but other than that there is so very little commercial activity. A few good restaurants but very little in the way of retail destinations. For a city the size of Lou, their downtown looks like one half their size. With the exemption of Whisky row and some small suburban type of hotels , there is little in the way of investment. Cities a third the size of Lou like Richmond Virginia or Grand Rapids Michigan are considerably more bustling and are attracting big time real estate investors. I just don't get it .

Louisville is more of a separate city-state. I don’t think of it as Kentucky’s largest city, though statistically it is, of course.

i like Louisville, but it’s promise is held back due to the state it’s in
My main complaint about downtown is that there is a bunch of things to do cluster together, and after that, there’s nothing.
What is up with this city's roads? 80% fudged up.
I know. Ive lived here my whole life. Theyve always been like that. People dont care that are government wise. They dont give a million fucks. They claim they dont have the funds.
