    Me: hate fighting scenes.
    My webtoon: yo what about some fighting and war scenes every single episode?

    After finishing the first 3 episodes of my fighting comic, I learned afterwards that having too many dynamic panels will make the reader unsure about the pacing of a fight. if the character is suppose to be giving out a long chain combo, it would be best to only move the camera angle a little bit or not at all if possible, to clearly show the reader the combo that's taken place and the speed of the combo. Also, I think stationary angles for combos usually last like 3-5 panels from what I've seen from other webtoons. Any longer than that and it might get stale.

    i don't have a lot of time to work on comics/practise how to make them because of college so your short, compact videos that get straight to the point are like a gift sent from heaven thank you SO much

      Awesome! I'm glad you like the shorter videos. I can be a tough balancing act on knowing if I give to little or too much. Have fun with college and comics!

    Pro tip: when drawing action scenes as a draft pick a different color on every different layer you’re using

    • @walterostlie
      @walterostlie  3 года назад

      What's on all your layers when you're drawing action scenes?

    • @kevinbermeo5794
      @kevinbermeo5794 3 года назад +1

      @@walterostlie orange, blue, pink, red. Whatever color you choose on a different layer makes it much easier to draft and start inking on a new layer

    Nice topic! I love drawing action scenes. I started my webcomic journey with an action comic and it sucked. So I took a break and tried to do a lots of practices. Now I’m ready to finish that webcomic :D if anyone cares, drawing a lot makes it easier to draw.

    Cool advice! Thanks for sharing :) I am not very much into action/fight scenes, but I am working on making my poses more dynamic and less stiff. I feel like practising drawing fighting scenes could be very helpful in that regard.

    RUclips last worden are so true (as the Rest of the video). Drawing reminds me always on muscle Training. If you Don't do it regulary, you get rusty. But its so helpful to every Day or at least regular. Action scenes are fun!

    I want to do a fight scene in a drama graphic novel where a character threatens another character with an unloaded gun and punches him while holding the gun. I honestly have no idea how to go about this. I have a hard time finding reference photos

    Can you do character designs next, maybe for different genres too? Like, you would design a character for a comedy differently than one for an action story.
