Yeah I find it creepy too. I imagine Mamoru (the character in this song) lying on the floor, dead (killed himself), the music box playing this song. But then I'm really weird, so... I don't know. Why do you find it creepy?
Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but I also find it creepy although it is catchy. Creepy because it speaks of something really sad and honestly revolting. Plus, something that is happening all around the world. Kids killing themselves because of the stress they go through when at school? That's (excuse my language) fucked up. :(((
Even though this is 8 years old I still enjoy this it gives a comfort to me. Even though the lyrics are sad I can relate to this song like that school feels like it is killing you and you want to die because of that but not all the way like you still need to live for something or someone in the end.

I use Ableton to write the music. There's a sound resembling a music box you can use, or you can download similar sounds off the net.

Does the character in this picture remind you of Araragi Koyomi from Bakemonogatari series? When I first started that anime episode 1, the main protagonist heavily reminded me of this guy in the picture and I was just singing Lost One'sweeping lol
