- Hello to everyone who is watching this! Thank you so much for taking out the time to listen to my rendition of Neru's "The Lost One's Weeping".
This is the start of many covers I will be making heavily themed around anime. As you can tell, I've taken a lot of liberties with both the music and lyrics of this song and that will be consistent on this channel. I think that if a song is going to be translated into a different language, then it needs to sound pleasing in that language. Unfortunately, this results in the exact meaning being altered, but I think I can take that opportunity to create something great while still paying respect to the original material.

I would like to credit JubyPhonic, as I didn't really use any of her lyrics besides small words here and there, but her piano cover of this song really helped me with inspiration and having a slower version of the song to compare to.

I dont know why but this is my favorite rendition of the song. I really love it, you did great! Ive forgotten about this thing numerous times and always some how find it again and I fall in love with it every time.
Wow, this is really underrated! Usually I don't like it much when the meaning is changed so much in covers, nor the tune, but this is actually really good! The message is altered, sure, but it still gives off some of the core vibes the original did, just in a different light, and the music here matches well with that! It's a great sounding cover and I love it!

Oh WOW. This has a much gloomier feel compared to the more intense og version. I /love/ your interpretation of the lyrics, and it's nice not to have a piano version for once haha. Holy....alright, so I listen to a lot of covers, I’ve heard the original, rock covers, acoustic....but nothing like this. Your voice is incredibly good, and the beat and everything hit so perfectly, and despite the fact that acoustic covers are slower as well, this one 100% takes the cake for the best cover I’ve heard by far. Your voice was meant for this song, from your vocal range to the emotion in your voice, and I love how you completely altered the tone and feel of the song to your own. I have so much to say, but to keep this short, I liked this, a whole lot. I’m subbing to you because Im excited to see what amazing music you make in the future. Keep it up!!

I've listened to multiple covers for Lost One's Weeping, but never one like this. This hits completely different than the covers that I usually listen to.

I do agree with another comment that this seems more accepting then the others which are more like angry resisting (if that makes sense) but from one random youtube person this is amazing and you honestly should have way more views on this man its great (also glad i found at least one male cover of this song :) )
"Relaxed yet oddly depressed". I fucking love that. Haha, thanks! It definitely is a bit different from the other covers I've heard. I feel like everyone is going to internalize and analyze lyrics differently and that's what I got out of the song personally. I also try really hard to make the song work in English as much as possible even if it means having to adjust the phrasing and meaning of the lyrics slightly. To me it's more important than copying word for word the lyrics that already exist in the original song. But that's just me. I'm really glad you like it!

What i like doing is watching music videos with stories in them and scrolling down to check if anyone has theories on it (take something like delta by c2c or kings by tribe society) sure it would be easy enough if the people who made the videos to say "this is what it means because this is how I designed it" but no most of the time they dont so people interpret stuff how they see it
so like everything its up to each person to decide what they take out of it
plus with songs in japanese it kinda has the advantage of translation errors which works on its side because you can then kinda shift the lyrics into your style , instead of just a copy paste of the english lyrics and by the relaxed yet oddly depressed is the beat itself is quite chill but the lyrics will get to you

I see some people in the comments talking about the lyrics, when I was looking up the creator of the song this is what I got:
Neru is a producer whose works are mainly rock, heavy metal, or EDM; and mainly uses Len and Rin. *His music and lyrics often speak to people and allow them to see another unique view of the world. In many cases, the lyrics to his songs are somewhat dark* (And you @AnimuseMe executed that vibe of the song perfectly)

Struggle between living out your life as a total failure to everyone especially your parents, and trying to live life when trying not to break down every 5 seconds while also trying to forget about it? I'm so sorry you feel that way. I don't know what you've been through but I've experienced so much self hate and depression and I totally get where you're coming from. I don't wanna say it gets easier because I'm 24 and I still get a lot of those feelings but I'm slowly working through it at my own pace. Something that help me to get through it and hopefully helps you is realizing that we only have one life to live and it's ours. It's really easy to get caught up in what others expect of us but in the end it's your opinion of yourself that matters, so do what makes you happy as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else. Also, cultivating a support system of friends and loved ones around you that you can be totally upfront and honest with. It didn't happen overnight and there were lots of lonely nights but now I have a group of friends and some family that I can share everything with and I know they'll have my back and support me. I only got that by learning to be there for them when they needed it and not holding back how I felt. I know we probably have very different lives and it's not much but I hope you can find some hope in this comment for something to look forward too. Life can fucking suck, but it can also be awesome too! Just do what you can to make it fun while you have it!

Yeah, idk what to say man. I've heard English covers where they stayed pretty accurate to the original and they always just felt kinda cringy and took me out of the bigger idea and message behind the song. So I tried to make it flow better in English rather than stay ultra accurate to the original. But I can admit I took a lot of liberties resulting in a very different experience.

@@rickyasbury1878 I've only heard Juby's. I love her voice but yeah, personally I just don't feel like some of the lyrics really worked in English. But that is also my own particular taste. I know plenty of people who love that cover and that's totally cool! It's just my personal preference.
