Good news! Looks like the launch price is a lot cheaper than what I was told at the start. Right now the iSteady Pro 4 costs only $78! 👉 geni.us/iSteadyPro4
Have you tried to update the firmware yet , I can not get it to update so I am stuck on the 1 that it comes with , any help thanks , great video instructions
I see that you used gimbals for various cameras, I have a GoPro 8 black weighing 125g, did you reduce the Motors Torsion parameters for lighter cameras?
Looks great... What do you think I am better off doing? Moza mini p or the isteady 4? Can the isteady shoot in. Inverted mode? Intended use: Gopro 9 (casual usage : holidays, kids etc). I am tempted by the ability to use 3 different types of devices with the Moza but the isteady looks more portable. What would you do? Thanks!
Would I need one of these with my unused as of yet Akaso v50x? (Which has stabilisation) Or should I get a gimbal for my phone? I'm a Parkrunnner and want to film my runs. I've just got a istaedy multi 2nd hand. Just can't calibrate it. Not sure it working correctly and feels gutted heavy tbh.
I use a DJI osmo action camera, the recording button does not work. I can turn off the gimbal, but the recording does not start when I press the button
Good afternoon. Excellent video. Very well explained. But it took me 23 days waiting for my hohem istead pro 4 gimbal to arrive. Came perfect in the packaging. all right according to their main video from Hohem. But I'm breaking my head trying to make him accelerate more to the left when I use the jostick. he goes faster to the right side. I'm afraid this is a defect or I still don't know how to use it properly. I live in Brazil and here the RUclips videos say little about this gimbal. Not even our manual comes in Brazilian Portuguese. Too bad Hohem didn't do this for us Brazilians. But my main doubt if you can help me thanks in advance. How to make him film and photograph vertically for social networks. Because from what I see in the videos of other foreign friends, I only see Pro 4 videos horizontally. Is there any way you can help me in this regard. I await your reply. I watched your video today on 7/8/23. A big hug. Alexandre Manzoli. Brazil
Hey Alexandre, I am sorry that I get to this comment just now. It sounds like a physical problem. There also is the chance forma firmware issue - so you can tryna factory reset and recalibration and if this doesn't work - ask for replacement
Gostaria de saber se tem como gravar os vídeos na vertical com este novo modelo pro 4 de gimbal? Amei o seu vídeo.Bem explicado. Sucesso sempre e aguardo sua resposta. Alexandre. Brazil
Well for some creative shots, and obviously night time, a gimbal is useful with action cameras, but in the regular uses the IS inside the action cameras do good enough job. but honestly a 135$ price is too much for such uses in my opinion. but it might be cause I'm not doing such style footage most of the time though
Hey Dima, you are right - the 135 USD asked is kind of a lot. However looks like Hohem have reconsidered and I saw it below $90 the other day. Not bad, not bad at all 👍😎
How smooth was the motion-timelapse? Seen motion-timelapses with the older iSteady Pros and they didn't seem to be steady/smooth at all. If possible I would like to see more motion-timelapse trials with combined movements.
I only have two of them - and they are good. The trick is to have very steady surface and to make sure the tripod is super-stable. If weather is windy - it may have an impact too.
@@TechMishka Come on!!! Recording from the internal mic, Rubbish. You need the media mod to attach an external microphone to get better audio. If its so good why aren't you using it to do your video vloggs. Encouraging others to buy products when your not giving the real facts.
Hey question you seem to post videos very often and there really good quality are you ahead on content or do you edit everything in one day would love to see your workflow process for your RUclips channel in a video.
Hey Xavier, thanks for the question! Wow - this is almost a question for "behind the scenes" episode :-) Well - you have properly noticed that I prepare a lot of things in advance. Generally - I am working on 4-5 reviews simultaneously - collecting footage and experience. While drivng - testing a dash cam, while doing sports - testing a wearable, when being outdoors - testing a camera or gimnal when possible. I try to be at least one week ahead, when possible. If you want to discuss anything in depth - let me know (better via email), we can set a call and I can guide you through these.
I use a GoPro 11 with the GoPro media mod and DJI mics, and I believe this gimbal is not designed to allow that. The Zhiyun M2S carries my GoPro, the media mod and DJI wireless mics and gives amazing results. So, okay, the M2S will not connect to the gimbal, so I use the voice commands to the GoPro which is just as good and after a while I find it more responsive than an intermittent Bluetooth connection that some gimbals suffer from.
Thanks for the video! This gimbal has great functions! But you cannot use the GoPro Hero10 with a cage. So you always have to remove the cage before you put the GoPro in the gimbal. For this reason, in my case, ZHIYUN CRANE M2 is the winner again.
@@QuicknStraight In some situations I use a circular filter that can be attached to the cage. I've also had a situation where the gopro mounted on the gimbal got hit because I touched something. Unfortunately, today's GoPro generations no longer live up to the resilience of the old generations. I think they are getting more and more sensitive.
In low light conditions, in addition to lowering the shutter and using the gimbal, do you also need to keep automatic stabilisation active? Thank you for your reply.
I got one of these. Literally every time I turn it on the roll axis is off. Like 3-4 degrees of. I go in and trim it out, then it’s fine till next time I turn it on. Calibrate it, same story. Fine till I turn it off and then back on. Very frustrating.
I have 1 of these and im not to sure i like it has no matter what mode i choose ot doesnt do what im asking it to do ie when i go threw all the diff moads its a pain and when i have it in lock mode it doesnt lock up properly when im trying to do a simple video its annouying and this must be a commen fault with this gimbal because i sent the 1st 1 back because of this issue.
My complaint about this product is the little white lights that show which of the 4 modes you are in are too small and too dim. They are impossible to see outside during the day.
I think the cradle needs a redesign. The most popular cameras (GoPro 9 & 10) have their usb-c port obscured by the motor arm and cradle making the recharge feature redundant. The 1/4" thread needs to move to another location too, maybe a rotatable collar just below the base of the gimbal arm. Hopefully, version 5 is in the works and will address these points...
Good review again my friend.. Well I use my phone gimbal for my old action cameras as you showed.. And gett great results on the higher resolution not supported with stabilisation on the camera.. My hawkeye firefly 8se gives super smooth views with using a gimbal as for your question is the gimbal for actiion cams on the end of developing and new innovation... I think not I think they can do so much more because the eis is also very limited I think we can not do without a gimbal if you realy in to film making some things can just not be done without a gimbal the eis will come to short in that.. I love it BTW how u did putt the akaso v50 x in to this video it deserved the spot lol.. Thnx for the video I look forward to the next
I really enjoy seeing the FIrefly 8SE in action, because it will always be among my favorite action cams. I think back then there was some sort of romantic feeling around these action cameras. They are these days clearly better, but ... not that fun maybe :) Much easier to get cool footage these days though. Was a good opportunity trying some old favorite gear 🥳

Can it rotate left and right??
By far, this is the best review I ever watched. Good job mate.
Wow, thanks! 😎
do you still using stabilisation on go pro when using the gimbal?
Depends on the case. For better low light performance better keep it off.
Thank you friend for this review!. but does gopro's gimbal adapter works really fine with gimbals? such as Zhiyun Smooth 5?
Yeah, it is totally fine in most cases.
Can GoPro Hero 8 fit in with media mod.
no

hi. did you upgrade the firmware? I cant find any way to make it

It was fine with the defaults, no issuea
Hello. Does this gimball work with the gopro hero 13 black ?
I believe it doesn't
very interesting video! can I use this hohem isteadypro 4 pro also while diving?
You cannot - it is not waterproof.
Excellent video! When I try a motionlapse, its stuck on 30 seconds... wont let me set longer. Any ideas?
Hmmm, no idea ..
Am using cason cs6 action camera. This gimbal is suitable for my camera?
You better check the dimensions and compare against the iSteady Pro 4 user guide.
Great video. Is there a way of slowing down the speed when the camera is panning?
Not that I know of
it is posible you can change the speed with the hohem apk

I'd probably choose the Mini P because it can handle phones too.
For hero 9 - do you really need stabilizer :🧐?
@@TechMishka I don't think I need the stabilizer but for panning etc the gimbal does a better job than just me and my clumsy hands 😁

I always recommend getting a smartphone gimbal and then - an extra plate so that you can attach your action camera too.
I use a DJI osmo action camera, the recording button does not work. I can turn off the gimbal, but the recording does not start when I press the button
Try to get in touch with Hohem's support.
It does not start recording because the osmo action does not connect to the gimbo through bluetooth. That is a gopro only feature

Hey! Love the review. Would this work with the GoPro hero 11 with the media mod attached?

You need media mod to attach an external microphone.
