This is the official video and that is not how you charge the camera from the gimbal if you do it that way it will burn out the gimbal motors. The port to charge the camera is under the rubber cover on the Gimbal Camera Mount!!!
Now its ok . Before cannot connect my Gopro 10 to gimbal, this video solve it. another video are saying to hold the connect bottom in the gimbal, but is only 2 short press! congrats!
Good video, I really enjoyed it and learned a lot of useful stuff! However, I've got a small correction to make, as I received my Hohem iSteady Pro 4 a few days ago and managed to test it effectively in order to make a presentation video in Greek: You don't need to place the camera upside down. After completely removing the battery door (ideally, replacing it with a battery door that has a USB-C slot), place the camera properly and if you check, you'll see that the gimbal gives you enough space to actually connect a cable with the camera straight up as usual. What you need to keep in mind, though, is that: a) GoPro Hero 10 needs 5V/2.1A in order to operate without battery in order to avoid overheating (mine overheated 2x in a day with the average ambient temperature at 36 Celsius), and that Hohem iSteady Pro 4 has a max output of 5V/2A, so your camera won't work without battery (but you can still charge the battery while shooting video); b) Hohem iSteady Pro 4 has a 3600mAh built-in battery and by using it to charge your GoPro battery, you run the risk of drying it out a lot faster than intended (mine lasted for about 2,5 hours in a mixed-use scenario: gimbal stabilization in normal video / gimbal stabilization+battery charge in normal video / gimbal stabilization+battery charge in timelapse video). c) the good news is that it charges pretty fast, so you can be back up and running in about 1 hour or less. Also, there's a second slot right behind the gimbal, and you can connect one of the smaller cables in this slot in order to charge your camera.
With GoPro LABS u can switch of the control of USB power 2,1. It solved my problem Also use the short cable. If not and solution as in video can’t use gimbal when connected

I know this is an older video but I saw a different video. The side power is to be able to charge your phone. They also sell a smartphone holder accessory. There's a smaller cord that you get in the original package and a power slot near where you mount your camera.

Hello, i've got my gimbal and everything works fine exept for the firmware update. when i go to firmware-info there ist no update button. does it mean i allready have the latest or that it simply not work? it says PTZ-Firmware 2.0 and on bluetooth firmware it says 1.005. I would be happy if I got an answer. thank you

I bought the gimbal and tried to pair it with my cam to WiFi, either I'm doing something wrong or the cam is not compatible, it's a Surfola SF530. I pressed the pairing button on the gimbal twice and the light flashed, The cam's WIFI activated and the lamp stopped flashing at some point, no connection. What do you think?
Here the process to upgrade got skipped. The thing is, that the app for iOS is not working, so I'm able to connect it to the camera, the app is pretty much useless... I bought this gimble for the motion timelapse, but since it's not connecting properly I'm not able to use it... Only for the shutter.
NO :( I bought iSteady Pro 4 and gave it back. If this is the best then how does the worst work? This gimbal sucks, it's useless without hypersmooth - microvibrations, jumps. This cannot be compensated for in the settings. Wasted money. BDW ... Hohem never answered my question about the gimbal problem. :(
Senkinek nem ajánlom!!! Miért írom ezt? Ma volt alkalmam kipróbálni ezt a két mákvirágot. A gopro10 és az isteady pro4 stabilizátort. Már az elindítása is kalandos, de még az hagyján. Mikor le akarom állítani mind a két eszközt, kikapcsolom először a kamerát, eleve le kell fognom a stabilizátort, mint az életéért küzdő malacot. A kamera nagy nehezen kikapcsolódik. Mikor aztán a stabilizátort kapcsolom ki, a kamra bekapcsolódik. Vaze! Ez hogy? Oké, Megpróbálom kicselezni. Először a stabilizátort próbálom kikapcsolni. Nem lehet, mert az a kamerának ez indítási parancs. Úgyhogy a kamerát kétszer kell leállítanom. Aztán a stabilizátor joysikje hol működik, hol nem! Mikor elkezdeném kicsit billenteni a kamerát, semmi. Aztán hirtelen hatalmasat billen. Vissza már nem, vagy csak nagy nehézségek árán. Neem! Gyerekek ez egy ócó kommersz cucc. Eszedbe ne jusson!! De ha birkózni akarsz velük akkor nem tartalak vissza. Hajrá! Én még egyszer biztosan nem fogok venni ilyen ipari hulladékokat. Sőt. Akit érdekel olcsón felkínálom eladásra. Mind a két mákvirág még garanciális.

I was going to say the same thing. The gimbal has a space to connect the USB C with the camera upright.

It doesn't charge while recording but it does run from exteral power when recording.
