@laurent outan, actually Phil woods wrote this piece specifically for Victor Morosco, so if anything Vic plays it exactly as it was meant to be played. Also it may be unknown that Phil woods taught victor Morosco how to improv. They were good buddies since Juliard.
Who's the pianist? Also, I see the version now published is a revision from 1997. Anyone know the circumstances, or even whether it was Woods who did the revision? From what I've seen of the newer version, I think I might rather have the original.
Weird, I started watching this video and all of a sudden, the painting that's hanging above my mantle popped up on the video. Talk about a double take!
Doesn't really make me want to clap, but i get your point. It makes me want to grab a woman and arm in arm step-step and sway! and spin her around a few times. lol
Laurent Outan This performance is stylistically authentic within the bounds set by the composer. Harle does very well, but this version goes even further towards the stylistic integrity. Remember this is Music by Phil Woods and not Desenclos or even Boutry, and is essentially a jazz sonata.

Best version ever! I've always thought of Victor as a classical guy, with great ears, skill and passion.
Wonderful ❣️🎶
El solo es fantástico, mis felicitaciones, enhorabuena por el trabajo!! ;)
Semplicemente meraviglioso!!!!!!!!!!
I am just trying to get into jazz. I'm more of a classical guy now. This is really good. Can any of you guys recommend anything similar? Thanks.
Well....Blue Caprice! it's a piece for solo sax wrote by victor morosco
Dylan Woods Like jazzy classical pieces? Hot-Sonate by Schulhoff is pretty good
What version is this ? The altissimo stuff at the end is different then what I have
anyone ever say if they had a transcription?
does anyone have a transcription of this?

This is rhythmic, like Jazz (tap your foot) but, unlike Jazz, the listener desires to clap on the beat, instead of off the beat. Sounds like Phil!!

can i remix that like glitch hop style or electroswing?
封面的笛头是不是装反了(●-●)
Yes. (Upside-down.)
Phill Woods
You can defenetly hear that hes not a classical player :P
Hell of a jazz player tho. This sounds like a a classical piece tho
Me too , I prefer John Harle's . This version don't respect the idea , the spirit of that piece.

this piece was literally written for the victor morosco so if this version doesnt respect the idea, or the spirit then i dont know what version does.
What an horrible classical saxophone sound.... That has nothing to do with Phil Woods. !!
