I always felt the skyline was very lacking in Gta v, honestly the whole city was lacking, it just felt empty. They should've taken more from Gta IV like making Los santos more dense and having more interiors.
They probably would've been fine to have a couple more skyscrapers, there honestly isn't much to V's map, like 60% of it is just mountains so a few more buildings shouldn't affect performance too much. Them adding more cars and missions for online costed way more in storage and performance than a few buildings ever could, and lastly they had way more interiors already in the game they were just used for missions only for some reason.
The trees and roads look good, but the buildings... This is Playstation 2 level of detail on most buildings and new objects (like the boat at 2:05). Buildings are just boxes with two-dimensional textures (best examples at 0:35 and 1:37), which look like placeholders rather than a finished product. I'm sorry for being so negative, but it's a downgrade compared to vanilla (with exception of trees). And this could be just me, but parody and jokes on billboards and buildings always felt more interesting and unique than real stuff.
Having more tress would be great. Especially in the hillside because it would force people to use the road and not shortcut, or use a bike or atv. That would make the map more realistic, chases more fun, the road more important, and bikes more useful
imagine Rockstar having employes roleplaying as building constructors? what could be build over 10 years? Roleplay would take real stages just like in reality
i honestly think it could look good if alot of the real life stuff was replaced by GTA in universe counterparts like this modpack seems to be going for like ultra realism which would be like replacing in universe stuff with actual real life brands like mcdonalds and walmart for example.
I'm really not into real life brands tho. GTA has enough fake brands, or at least enough identity to invent a fake parodic brand. No need to bring in the NBA or Dodge into it.

You have to remember the hardware limitations that Rockstar were working with in 2010-12 to make GTA V.
