Both the original and this one, the remastered version, are great! This one doesn't have that much of an aggressive guitar, but the prolonged part in the middle with "hop hop" echoing is just awesome!
to be clear, this is a full re-recording. a remaster is something sound engineers do in the studio using the original master recording to clean up and enhance the sound quality.
They rerecorded their entire Sol-fa album, so there's a 2016 version of every song on that album. The version of Re:Re: on this 2016 album also has a different instrumental than the 2016 single version (thus making it a v3 of sorts). Anyhow this version is still good, but I prefer the original because the yelling was more raw sounding, giving it an emotional edge.
I think the reason why there’s a lot of fans in the background of this video is to symbolise how the band and this song has built a bigger fanbase from the time of the first version to this 2016 version. However they kept elements from the original video.
Love the original.. but remastered version shows how far akg's music range has evolve during those years... Best of all they choose solfa album wihiiiiy I am happy to hear both version with lot of love!

The new vocals are *technically* better but the raspy inconstency is part of what made his vocals popular. His vocal range has reached its full capacity, but at the cost of losing the part we loved most in his singing
@@Rex-golf_player810 when talking about technique there's definitely good/bad or better/worse. But that's different than saying it's only good (or even correct) if it's done with that good technique. Vocals here definitely are technically better than in the original version. Which one a person likes the most, though, is a personal preference - no right or wrong there.
This album was a big deal for me back in the day. I didn't realize it was an intro to an anime, I was given a song (flashback) and I just downloaded their album (thanks Napster and Kazaa!).
