I think it's important to note that the *composer for the original soundtrack* actually did the orchestration for this (Darren Mitchell), specifically for a youth orchestra to perform. Much respect to him for creating this arrangement for us all to enjoy.
@@Queenk333When will we get a proper interview on his inspirations for his music? I would be a truly happy person to see his work on the big screen maybe a game revamped version of Turok 1&2 or even a movie 🎥🍿. Many thanks to his fantastic vision and rescuing of our childhoods. 🙏🏻
searched for this a while, i cant believe they really did an orchestra version of this awesome soundtrack, im watching this in 2023 and its still amazing
Jose Gomez ...Man,I agree with you. Joshua Fireseed, and all the Turoks were Native American. I believe it is also refreshing to know that more people are being taught to appreciate Native Americans. My mother has 4,or 5 individuals on her side of the family who were Cherokee Native American! Many families mix.But we should never forget to respect all of our branches. To have other individuals marry people of other Nations around the world,is to respect humanity, and I believe God would be happy for that!God originally intended for all married couples to Multiply, Flourish, and Rebuild the Earth.
Awwwwwwwww, I HAVE TO DISAGREE!! This hurts my ears!!!!!! As a SUPERFAN of the original "Port of Adia" theme (on N64 and ESPECIALLY on PC!), this feels like RAPE to my ears!! These guys have no clue of TACT, nor TEMPO, nor TUNE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ChanCeNecK ... rape to your ears? To me, this is good for an orchestral version. I think those younger people did well. Different, but good. To my ears it is
I'm just randomly searching to hear Turok music after having strolled down memory lane with the release of Turok Remastered on Switch like it was 1997 all over again! And I come across this - amazing! Darren Mitchell did strong work with these scores and I'm really happy to see someone else appreciate it too!
Was this a student suggestion? This had to be a student suggestion... Holy crap what a performance. Few timing trip-ups, but my God, they did it mad justice!
The composer for Turok 2, Darren Mitchell, also did the arrangement for this, writing his music for a youth orchestra. It's a really, really cool thing to do with his soundtrack.
This is amazing, I've only just finished uploading the full soundtrack for Turok 2 to my channel because the music is awesome and now I find out they had an orchestra perform 'The Port of Adia' - just, amazing... then 'The Death Marshes' and 'The River of Souls' I wish I had a seat in the house on this night! I'd have really liked to hear the other tracks off the game too. Great upload!
2019 here because of the remastered. I'm playing it again on pc 4k 60fps, turok 2 has been so perfect. I remember it just like the first day. Bond memories of mi childhood on n64 :(
This is really neat. I was in a youth orchestra growing up too, we never would have played anything from a video game, much less likely music from Turok. Way awesome.
+TheRaven0us same Me and my sisters beat turok 2 without the cheat code. well more of my sisters lol I was to scared of the game when I was young, after I saw those yellow guys run through the hallway in the first level, I completely gave up xD. I had to play this game again to finally beat it on my own and even with knowing the code I couldn't even remember how to spell it all xD
Everyone had to use this, because it was the only way to get the 5th Primogen key. A bug in the game prevented the last shield generator from shutting down, in Hive Of The Mantids.
Este video me ha hecho llorar de la alegría y la nostalgia. Que buena idea orquestar la banda sonora de este videojuego. Ahora les toca de Perfect Dark o de Soul Calibur.
Nah, I almost cry when see it, Im not english but yes from brazil, yes I am a big fan of Turok, I have hope for happen a live action or something :), yes I love Turok, I am Turok ^^
Conductor basking in the glory of her youth while the students are saying "you are trying to tell me...this epic piece... is from an old blocky video where a native american warrior fights dinosaurs with laser guns....
I don't think so...As far as Ik, BYSO bought the parts and score from the composer himself, so this was a self-published work. (the conductor (same on here) explained this too us when we were rehearsing to perform this work in a program of works to go along with Bellevue 4th of July Fireworks celebration this year)
This is cool, but really weird that anyone would come up with the idea to orchestrate Turok 2 of all things. Also, yay for Bellevue! I asked my brother to name an older game soundtrack that he wants to hear orchestrated, and he randomly brought up how he wants to get Turok and Turok 2 on the Xbox One when it comes out, so I typed in Turok orchestra, not knowing this would be on here. It's so random. At 6:30, it sounds very Aliens. Good job for the most part!
An orchestra actually did this...... This is absolutely amazing.
That was my reaction as well. I didn't expected and there it is
A hidden gem right here. I hope they never take this off. Amamzing work!! Literally
Even three 6 mafias nicked music from Turok 2

I’m glad you can appreciate the work that went into my husband’s composition, you should check out the rest of his work

It is refreshing to know people are being taught to appreciate Turok.
An awe inspiring homage to quite possibly the best fps game ever made.

This performance really deserved a standing ovation! Finally the music from this game gets a symphonic treatment.
