came back here just want to say thank you andy. this is my first solo ever, i've made it and people like you make me achieve goals what i thought were impossible. you deserve more views, likes and subs good sir. i cant say thank you enough but i wish you goodluck and all the best.
I'm new to guitar and I want to learn this solo so badly lol, and you explain it so so well! I'm still fumbling over my fingers a bit and getting the hang of using a pick, but tutorials like yours make it seem so simple that even an idiot like me can understand- thanks so much!
Awesome tutorial. Might I suggest in the future to start the video off by playing the entire solo through from start to finish without any interruptions, then afterwards go into explaining it piece by piece. But yeah, other than that, great video. Really nice tone too!
Need advice. When tapping the 17th and the 19th fret (2nd and 4th measure), I can't produce the same sound his guitar makes. Any tips?? Is it with bad technique, or because of the gear I am using? You rock btw! More vids to come!
O o o o o o o o o o o o what kind of tapping technique? I’m trying to do the same on my guitar and 1. It doesn’t ring out as hard as his( for as long) and it also just stops producing sound after I tap it :( I’m brand new to guitar and i really want to know how to do this!! Please any help would be greatly appreciated 🤩
@@daltonrose2827 don't know if this is too late but some recommendations: 1. Make sure that you tap on the fret where you would normally fret it (i.e near the end of the fret region). Practice hitting the string accurately over and over again and on different strings. 2. Make the 'pull off' more pronounced, if you search RUclips there'll be lots of tutorials but I'd recommend also practicing on different strings over and over again. Sometimes I'll watch a video and just practice doing pull offs in the background. 3. Extra gain does help but won't compensate if your technique isn't solid. I hope this helps!
THE Sandman possibly a “too late” response but it’s standard tuning if that’s what you’re talking about but if not it could be the effects you’re hearing added to the guitar.
@@DrDandyyy it's never too late for knowledge. Yeah i meant like the effects you're using and the settings on the amp. I can play the song already thx for the tutorial!
Guitar on the bridge pickup with tone knob to the brightest setting and the amp gain turned all the way up. If your amp doesn't have enough gain on its own, you might need an overdrive or distortion pedal.
Hey man I know this vid is old but I was hoping you could tell me how to make your guitar keep on playing after playing a note so like when you play a note how do you keep it going instead of just stoping, do I need more gain or idk what to do I'm new :)
what kind of tapping technique do you use for the beginning? 1. It doesn’t ring out as hard as his( for as long) and it also just stops producing sound after I tap it :( I’m brand new to guitar and i really want to know how to do this!! Please any help would be greatly appreciated 🤩
The way I think about it to make it sound better is not to "tap" the fret with your right hand, but actually press down the fret with your middle finger as you would with your left hand, and then pull off afterwards as if you're plucking the string. If you just "tap" it, there wont be enough pressure on the string to actually make it interact with the fret. Another thing is the more distortion/overdrive on your guitar, the more sound it'll make. If you're just playing with a clean sound then the tapping won't be very audible at all.

What specific scale does this solo use? Please help me. And what key is the song?

how do you make the guitar sound like this tho

It will sound different
