To be honest Sheldon, 195 millions dollars is way too small to organised All African Game. They would probably need close to billion dollar to host a an event like this. Considering that Ghana is underdeveloped and needs to put a lot of things in place. The 195 million dollars should have been used to clean the environment first. The roads are bad, pootholes needs to be filled up, traffic lights to be replaced, road marks repainted, lots of works needed to be done. When you add provision for structures like stadium, accomadation for athletes and many other things , the bills goes up. Since Ghana is a poor little country, their aim is not to give a first class tournament,but, a fourth rated one, where all athletes do not expected to received good quality infrastructure and services which they are used to in their various countries. Ghana, should have refused to host the event considering their financial state. Since athlete's expriences matters and judging by the standard of the organisation so far, it has shown beyond doubt that an event by this magnitude should not have been allowed by Ghana to host. They do not have a vibrant private corporate organisations to help offset the bills. May be Ghana should be better hosting small nations tournament instead of a bigger tournament. Hosting this event has exposed the country as inefficient, disorganised and lacks coordination and purpose.

Since Ghana is a poor little country, their aim is not to give a first class tournament,but, a fourth rated one, where all athletes do not expected to received good quality infrastructure and services which they are used to in their various countries. Ghana, should have refused to host the event considering their financial state. Since athlete's expriences matters and judging by the standard of the organisation so far, it has shown beyond doubt that an event by this magnitude should not have been allowed by Ghana to host. They do not have a vibrant private corporate organisations to help offset the bills. May be Ghana should be better hosting small nations tournament instead of a bigger tournament. Hosting this event has exposed the country as inefficient, disorganised and lacks coordination and purpose.
If they are given a billion dollars it's the same Mediocre job they will do
