Women like her as she talks about stuff we all feel and do. Women do this we just do not tell you.

Take people’s comments with a grain of salt. Y’all have been very respectful and fun to watch. Swifties are passionate, but as long as you’re being kind they typically are just trying to pass on information. I have an 8 yr old Swiftie and I didn’t let her watch most of the Midnights set, because it’s not appropriate for kids. Same with MANY songs of Folklore, REP, Evermore and especially TTPD.

Taylor has clean versions of albums too.

    • @Newromantics84

@ yeah, I just don’t want to buy both versions. My daughter really enjoys lyrics so some of them are inappropriate for the subject matter, not just the language. If she really wants to hear one I’ll play a non explicit version from RUclips.

Being a "Swiftie" is a feeling, vs an actual membership.
You'll feel it. And when you know you know.
You'll find your self randomly humming a chorus, going back and listening to more of her songs and understanding the complexity of her story telling and genre spanning catalog, having events in your life that Ms Taylor has the perfect song for -(falling in love, falling out of love, struggling through this world, nostalgia, over thinking, dealing with pain, hurt, love, lust, loss, guilt, joy, regret etc,), finding nuggets that make the criticism you've heard be directly contradicted: "she cant sing" - okay then why is her live performance kinda 🔥?
"She's a mean girl" - this girl is out here being polite, respectful, kind generous etc.
"She only writes teeny bops like shake it off" - listens to folklore and beyond 🤯
Then comes the very very diverse swarm of loyal followers that drop info in the comments, will boost your channel because we all love watching new people enjoy the world of music TS has.
Most will have great recommendations, will give you more context, and actually enjoy watching you enjoy Taylor Swift.
And then before you know it, theres a Taylor-shaped puzzle piece in your heart.
There are some "Swifties" that have been around for a long time.
They like to paternity test every word and be vicious about it, (the small mind that cannot comprehend that TS is a complex artist is great at a composite sketch), coming up with the most meth-math theories and speaking it as truth and they feel like are entitled to having a say in how she lives her life and what is due to them,
Blondie addresses this in 'But Daddy I Love Him"
Those are the ones that get a little too carried away and get very attack-y, so while they may be well intentioned, they be crazy too. Just like other crazies on the internet, don't be too hassled with it
So its more than the amount of songs you listen to, or how much lore you know, if you fck with Taylor Swift, you're a Swiftie
    🫶

You don't have to ask; you'll know when you are a Swiftie. You aren't required to become a Swiftie. But one day, someone might say something negative about Taylor, and you find yourself defending our 35-year-old billionaire girl. Does she need to be defended? Yes, she does. She gets so much hate, and when you love a person, you automatically defend them.

Love y’all and I’m here for all the Taylor videos. So excited to watch y’all become Swifties and you will know you’re a Swiftie cause of the feeling you get when you hear her music and a desire to hear and know more is what I think but that’s just me.

Y’all are too funny! This might be my favorite song on Rep. talking about carving his name into her bedpost… 🔥 she uses the word gold to describe love. She used to use red, but those relationships crashed and burned so when she meet Joe she wrote a song where she said she thought love was red but it’s golden.

Hi guys. Great reaction on this performance. You'll become a swiftie whe you hear that song that just grabs your feelings. Taylor is a genious with her poetic writing. She paints a picture with her words then brings it to life in music. Her live performances are epic. I suggest some performances from her 1989 World Tour from 2015. Enchanted/wildest Dreams Mashup. Out Of The Woods and the Rock Version of We Are Never Getting Back Together. A MUST is Don't Blame Me live from her Rep Tour in 2018. I hope you both enjoy the T Swizzle journey.❤
    Stay safe

69 y/o Swiftie here. I love her voice, her lyrics, her ability to communicate from her own emotions, but do so in a way that she speaks universally for humans and especially girls/women's experiences. I love her brilliance, work ethic, and her lifelong intention to remain the same girl she started out as. I love that she's funny, fun-loving, enthusiastically extraverted, down-to-earth, genuinely authentic, kind, humble, generous with both her time and her money (know any tight ends with all those same personality traits?), and the most adorable person ever. I love that she is the BOSS and has been the head and sole owner of her company since she started it at the beginning of her career - and so few people even realize that. I love that she calls out the haters over and over and speaks up and out for herself, other women, and all artists - not because she isn't afraid, but because she does it even when she's afraid. She's a role model for every generation.

This song is about Joe Alwyn, her ex-boyfriend of 6 years. She referred to him as golden in many of her songs bc he has blonde hair. She also referred to him in songs as the color blue. Most of the Reputation album was written about him. It was right in the beginning of their relationship.

You will know when you’re a “Swiftie”. It’s a decision. If you enjoy what you’re hearing and want to hear more☺️If you become interested in the ‘lore’. If you suddenly find yourself hating on Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer, Ye, Scott Borchetta OR Scooter Braun… (🤣) you’re there!
Also, if you just appreciate the music, her musicianship and her lyrical abilities, that’s it too. It’s just a fun ride for the Swiftie community to watch non-Swifties realize her talents far supersede your expectations. It’s all love from Us. You guys are doing a great job! Keep going! There is a lot of content for you to discover here. I didn’t comment on the “Vigilante Shit” video, but just so you know… I FULLY support Women’s empowerment and my 9yr old daughter has seen The Eras Tour movie in its entirety (minus TTPD Era, which came later). I play the “clean” versions in the car, but she’s heard and seen the movie in the theatre. I’m okay with it. It’s a personal choice and I agree with people who choose not to watch it too. It’s all just entertainment ☺️

  • @squarebarrel

Y’all have been respectful. You’re new to her and learning. It may take a little while to shake off all the misconceptions about her. Some fans are too passionate for their own good especially when they feel the need to hop on things they don’t need to.
Also, you’ll know when you’re a Swiftie when you just know. But most of it comes from a place of respect for her and her craft.
I’m also a believer of that she has a song for everyone in her catalog. It just means that they haven’t heard it yet or maybe she’ll write it down the line.
    Golden Tattoo = hickey

Catching up on your recent vid. Swifties can be defensive because there are SO many who say she only writes songs for teenagers. It REALLY pisses us off. Fr. Anyway, being a Swiftie is self declared. If you can say you dig her deep in your heart and have songs that are 😮 to you. Then you are a Swiftie. Ya’ll are fine. Sometimes we get offended from PTSD defending her. 😂

Not sure if anyone mentioned this, but Taylor hired Mandy Moore to create the choreography for the entire Eras Tour. Mandy is a seasoned choreographer and the choreographer for the Dancing with the Stars pro dances. Mandy was the choreographer for the movie La La Land with Emma Stone and Emma recommended her to Taylor when Tay was designing the Eras Tour because she wanted it to be more theatrical than her previous tours. All that to say, Mandy Moore is the one who came up with the choreography for Vigilante Shit. She presented it to Taylor for approval and Taylor's response was: "I get to do THAT??? Yeeeeesss!"
I mean, it's really sexy and fun and female empowering, right? Mandy did an interview about it that's on you tube. There's nothing wrong with your saying maybe you don't want 14 y/o girls to watch it. I love that set on the Eras Tour, but I've had the same thought. But Taylor writes the emotions she's feeling at any given stage of life and her music has spanned 22 years (since her Debut album was primarily written when she was 12-14 y/o). I saw an article that was written I think in Great Britain when the tour was on the way there and it was an attempt to educate parents on what the tour covered so they wouldn't be shocked if they brought their young kids or teens to the Tour. Would parents have allowed their kids to listen to the Beatles if they'd known so much of their music was about drugs? Bottomline, I think most of us absorb what we understand at any given age, so the younger kids and teens at concerts likely don't view Taylor's lyrics or dance moves the same way adults do. And honestly, if we're going to make a judgment, doesn't that apply across the board to all music artists? Think of all the performances on The Grammy's or other award shows. Adam Lambert's performance on CBS I think, Justin and Janet at the SB, Madonna, Brittany, JLo, Beyonce, Katy Perry, Miley, Dua Lipa, all the guys that write trashy lyrics. Kids and teens are exposed to all of that unless they have very strict parents. Taylor was really, really sexy in a lot of the Eras songs/choreography, but she's still tame compared to most pop artists even going back decades.
You shouldn't be afraid to voice your honest reactions as you're listening/watching the videos.

You did so good until you did so bad… yes Taylor is a great role model for girls and women. But she’s not telling women to buy a dress to take off for their partner’s enjoyment..
For women to enjoy and express their sexuality yes, but that’s not what you where talking about
