The whole Long Pond Studio Sessions is worth a watch.
P.S. It's on the Disney Channel I believe.
@@shmamycakes Disney+
A actual whole masterpiece
The fact that she won Album Of The Year at the Grammys for an album she recorded in a spare bedroom with a blanket over her head and cats fighting in the background. That's some queen shit 😂
Literally
And this is not the first time
Her song Mean in 2010 won 2 fucking Grammy's
And the album Speak Now
She did everything by herself
Like literally
Queen shit indeed 👑
She didnt win for speak now, she did for fearless tho!
I think that's the secret to her longevity. The song writing. She literally does not need anyone to help with that. She invites friends to colab but she's already written the song. Sometimes she would let her collaborators contribute a phrase but that's usually it. Thanks gents for a wonderful reaction. Looking forward to more Taylor reactions.
Well put
Folklore is such an incredible album! I hope you guys listen to the whole thing
The deluxe edition, can't forget about "the lakes" pure poetry. They may need a dictionary.
And evermore 🧡
It's a masterpiece
I think they’d prefer the Disney+ version so they can have a better understanding of the songs.
Although some songs, only her real fans know the true meaning regardless of what she might say it is about.
She’s only said the REAL meaning of “Bigger than the whole sky”, “”Happiness”, “WSC” possibly once or twice, though. I do miss doing the secret searches in the beautifully designed booklets. It just made it another level of fun for me.
She really can do anything that she sets her mind to. Naturally gifted, hardworking, intelligent AF, witty, funny, gorgeous, cute, SO thoughtful, kind, caring, grateful and loyal. She’s truly the sweetest person I have ever seen in the entertainment industry. I hope I can see her perform once but I don’t think so. Like most of us, money is just too tight. It’d mean so much to me - she’s gotten me through so much over the years with her songs. Forever a FAN. 🫶🏼
Absolutely ❤. Love Ephipany
Taylor really made the pandemic better for a lot of people, by first dropping "folklore" and then "evermore" and then she surprised everyone with her re-record of Red and it had vault songs added to the album all within the space of a couple of years. The vault songs were songs that didn't make the cut on their original album. I live for them.
Yesss, please don't forget about the rest of the Folklore album, then came the "Evermore" album... both were complete surprises and they are on both still on my everyday rotation (along with Upchurch and Kenny Chesney)!!! A Swiftie forever, from Colorado; since her 1st radio song, 'Tim McGraw when she was 16! ♥️🤠🔥
How are you all forgot about fearless TV with mr perfectly fine that’s when bye bye don’t you better man We were happy You all over me !!
She’s the lyricist of our generation. I’ve loved her since I was a teenager. Two years younger than her, her albums always seem individually for me, she’s something else.
"This is me trying" really made me feel heard and understood.
Addiction, mental health crisis, wasted potentials, self harm, etc. She did it in Antihero and many other songs.
Throughout her discography, I always find puzzle pieces that fit into different aspects of my life.
As a guy, I'll never fully know the psychological aspects of girlhood and womanhood.
As an ordinary person, I'll never know what it's like to be rich and famous like her.
But Taylor still gives me things I can relate to because the running theme in her music is always the universal human experience. She leaves things open to interpretations and it works.
She once said her songs are like message in a bottle. Once it's out, her hope is that it will find its way to someone who's going through something similar and let them know that they're not alone.
The lyrical content may be very personal and specific, but it's delivered to us like it's made for us and not self serving in any way.
A lot of pretentious snobs started to acknowledge her as a true artist after Folklore came out. But she's been doing that since the early years of her career.
As you can see, everyone she's ever worked with, the professionals and the long time fans know it. But the snobs and the contrarions just dismiss it or stay in denial because she makes pop music.
Another reason for their close mindedness is that she has a fan base largely made up of teen girls and young women (which is partly true but things have changed over the years)
It happens to other artists too. It's just that Taylor's case is a glaring example of that kind of prejudice on a massive scale.
And of course, the media narratives didn't help either. But in the end, Taylor built a castle out of all the bricks they threw at her.
So, shout-out to the people who put all these videos together highlighting some of that in a bite sized format.
Anyway, I'm really enjoying your TS reactions so far. Cheers!
Her songs are so personal and are so specific to what she is going through but somehow just like you said, there’s something that she does that allows you to see yourself in her songs and it feels like she wrote it specifically for you. It’s a talent not many can do
me starting to cry bc this comment summarizes how i feel about this song and just taylor overall 😭😭
Beautifully put, you couldn't have said it any better.
She was born a genius and has always been very special. She was awarded the title of America’s best young poet in the junior category when she was only 10 years old with ‘A Monster in my Wardrobe’ but couldn’t play an instrument back then until her computer broke and her parents a hired technician called to fix it who brought his guitar in the house rather than keep it in his car. He taught Taylor a few chords and then said she could lend it for a few days to practice on. She had already written her first song when he came back and she was thrilled at combining words with music to make both more powerful together than as separate pieces. A songwriter supreme was then born.
Sony hired her as a professional songwriter when she was just 14 to work for them. When a new co-songwriter called her for the first time to arrange a time to meet and work together for the company , they were shocked to hear her say she couldn’t do before 4-30 as she had school in the week. Her mum said that she had already written 100 songs before she made her debut at just 16. She was always destined for greatness and is only criticised by those with ignorance of her talents or blinded by jealousy of her glowing, warm personality, that accompanies her everywhere and makes people realise who meet her in person that she truly is just as nice as she appears to be. She changed the face of music and has her rightful place as a music legend already, despite the river of hate that flows her way daily from very sad haters.
honestly ! if she were from the 18th or something she would be known today as a great poetress, and as famous as poets like Wilde and Shakespeare ! She has a gift for writing and expressing emotions like no others
@@Conseilsdefillesvid i think she’ll be remembered like a modern day Shakespeare after she’s gone
Couldn't said it better myself
For me Folklore is her best written album, which a lot to say comparing it with the other masterpieces of albums in her discography. Even a more surprising fact is that her third studio album Speak now was completely written by herself and it is an AMAZING album. I love her so much.
I truly believe that Taylor does not sleep. She is very driven and she loves what she does. Taylor plays the guitar, piano, banjo, and ukulele. I think she might play drums a little and who knows what else, whatever she puts her mind to.
I think she also plays the violin
@@relent-lass7510 I think it could be a possibility, she did have that pretty blue violin in her Lover MV.
As a dude that mostly listens to rock (yeah I know the pfp, I also love Twice) bands like Oasis/Alice In Chains/Def Leppard/Whitesnake, etc. I'm not ashamed to say that "This Is Me Trying" has made me cry more than once. I was dealing with a bout of depression during the pandemic and that song plus the rest of her Folklore album really helped me to not feel alone and that it's was ok to cry and as for help.
I love how much attention you guys paid to what she says and how easy it is to tell that you guys get her music. You two are really relatable.
PS: Her third album Speak Now was released in 2010 (Taylor was 20) and she wrote all of the songs alone, with zero co-writers.
Folklore is the best album ever🥹😭💘 always in my heart.
Tay is super intelligent, a genius really. It literally shines through in her music.
Love these reaction we need more folklore long pond session reactions we need seven long pond live next
Yes! We need it
She’s so extremely talented. The lyrics are always fire 🔥
Thanks for another great reaction. And welcome to the world of Taylor. This little folklore lockdown album that she wrote, 'cause why not, won AOTY at the 2021 Grammys. Only three artists in the history of the Grammys have won AOTY three times. Frank Sinatra. Stevie Wonder. Taylor Swift.
This is so beautiful, thank you for a wonderful reaction.
This is me trying ' is a very resonant song for me, l have mental health problems and battle every day, so when she talked about this song l cried.
Somebody sees me, thank you Taylor
I really enjoyed this reaction. I admit I didn't give her a chance before I saw this long pond studio on Disney +. I absolutely love it and agree she is one of the great songwriters and she has gorgeous voice with incredible range and power. Her low range is so clean. BY THE WAY!!!, I LOVE LOVE LOVE THAT TATOO OF PARENT CHILD HOLDING HANDS ❣️😍 BEST I'VE EVER SEEN!
I love these sessions in particular. The Long Pond sessions are amazing because you can literally understand her thought process and then head the result. Absolutely amazing.
To have these Long Pond studio sessions with Taylor talking about the making of the songs are priceless! I was watching the lyric video, followed by the Long Pond discussions and then her singing in the studio. Totally spoiled with this album, getting access to all these things!
"My tears ricochet" from this session is an absolute masterpiece. Recording and writing wise. So many references to discover in the song to her first 6 albums and you can feel the anger and sadness in her singing this to Borchetta, the owner of her first record label who sold her masters.
my favorite quote from this video was “i don’t know how she comes up with this shit bruh” because it reminded me of her song “sweet nothing” where the lyrics say “i wrote a poem, on the way home, you say what a mind” she has an otherworldly talent and it’s so nice you both can appreciate it!
Folklore Personally the album of the Century.
folklore by Taylor Swift had been a staple in my pandemic life.
Exile from the long pond its so good
That guy is Jack antonoff lmao. One of Taylor's best friends and producers for life
I don`t there is room for debate anymore. She is the finest singer-songwriter of her generation. She is in a different league and folklore is her masterpiece thus far
She IS so amazing and talented. You might even say… she’s a Mastermind. 😉
Great rx guys. Really great! Folklore is worth the listen. And the Long Pond Studio Sessions is on Disney Plus. It’s worth the watch. And. She directed it too.
You should also check out Miss Americana, the documentary. I love the way you two appreciate her talent and intelligence. And yes, the whole Long Pond Session would be amazing, too.
oh my god! you guys should react to "Folklore" totally then! the album is full of these songs. so poetic and emotional.
Would definitely check out the rest of long pond
Yes, do more songs from Long Pond Studio Sessions please! 🙏🙏🙏
Can't wait for you guys to react to the long pond studio's versions of My tears ricochet
I just don't know how anyone could dislike her. She's just incredible at everything she does!
I'm living for this Taylor Swift content!!! We need more.
those of us from an older generation had joni mitchell carole king karla bonoff carly simon .. so nice to see & hear the next generation has taylor with a remarkable body of work ... pass the torch !!
Thank you for the Taylor content.
With "This Is Me Trying" I believe the song captures her feelings of regret and an attempt to mend the relationship with us her fans. I feel the song is centered on her career and reflections on her past decisions.
She talks about having difficulty adapting to the change that has probably taken place in her career. Although she regrets leaving, she wonders if the person (swifties) she left behind still cares about her. These lines could also be a reference to Taylor’s hiatus from music in 2016 where she tried to get away from all the noise about her in the media. She hints that negative speculations rife in the media triggered anxiety issues where she felt like giving up on her limelight lifestyle.
It’s lovely to see appreciation for TS! You definitely need to go down TS rabbit hole now lol, you won’t be sorry. Taylor is AMAZING! Can’t wait for me TS reactions 😊
Was surprised when I came across this. My husband is an acoustician and he is who designed The Long Pond studio.(Aaron Dessner’s studio in upstate New York). Both of Taylor’s albums “Forklore” and “Evermore” were recorded there…as well as the Disney+ documentary in the video.
Great reaction!!!
🙂🙏💜✌️
I love it how your facial expressions have shifted from 🤩🔥😎 (while watching the Reputation tour) to this 🤔 ... really immersed into the lyrics and the whole performance :)
The more I like about You both is the way All of Us and You also get trapped magically by All She's doing ,the talking ,the way She Sings and the feeling and passion of the performance........We traveled with Her to places outside and inside our heart ❤️we never imagine we could reach !!!

Loved writing this album with them!
You must react to the rest of these lpss. and i love your reactions 🤍
Her mind is no where near 20 steps ahead... more into the 100's range.
i watched an interview whereshe sid tht she loves phrases and words, and keeps a journal with her all of the time in case she hears or think of anything that she can use sometime, plus she searches for metaphores.
I’m not crying you are 😭

August n Betty is so gud
Wow! I used to use Taylor as an insult to some ones taste in music. "Go back to listening to Taylor Swift Bro!"
Never again. These were incredible. Still don't like her usual pop stuff, but both of these were great.
please react to Taylor swift " Never grow up"
REACT TO ALL TOO WELL THE 10MINUTE VERSION!!
what was that first video they watched, with the guys talking about working with her?
please react to folklor pond version
Why am I awake long story like" long story short "?
🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
The way she speaks and thinks and writes is deep and intelligent. Yet the criticisms thrown at her is her music is all light and fluffy for teens. Just recently she was criticised by Ted Nugent- for not having substance- pot calling the kettle black anyone!!!
So duplicitous stumped you, huh? React to Hits Different where she uses argumentative and antithetical in the same lyric.
Please react to cardigan music video
Please do reaction video to gigi de lana unholy thanks.
Please, SHAMAN - confession!!!!!!!!!!!!! REACTION
Please check out ONE OK ROCK... Please ❤️
more of this please?
I completely agree with Jack. Her songwriting does make her stand out. It's is my favorite thing about her. She can be vulnernable and write about herself or she can create a world that's seperate from her own. Both are written beautifully. Some of the songs are so descriptive that we can visualize a music video for it.
Her music is, basically mini movies, but ones you can use imagery to create.
I need a reaction to The Man music video so bad. 😩
In case you haven't seen it yet, they've reacted to The Man. 😊
I think why Taylor was getting so emotional speaking about TIMT is bc she has struggled with an ED. She said in Miss Americana that she had to stop looking at photos of herself that the press put out bc she kept looking at her body and wanting to stop eating again, then she has to talk herself down so that she doesn't end up in that place again.
Tylor swift is story teller......she is true genuine soul mate👑💯☔💙🔵🌧️💚🤍👗🗝️🌈🗝️🗝️🗝️⭕💪🌅❌
Y’all have Twitter ?! I need it ‘ 🔥
And on top of all that,(including this session) in this album and Evermore, the sister album that came a few months after folklore. She directed and styled and did the whole preparation by herself 👍🏻
