When I was a kid, the only shoes I liked wearing were mid-top basketball shoes (didn’t even play basketball). They were just so comfortable and every other type of shoe just couldn’t compare. I haven’t worn them since, but now that I’m getting into jump roping, I think basketball shoes would be great for it. Getting excited to wear those types of shoes again!
Crazy that I stumbled on this video. I just started doing jumprope seriously and I found that the Lebron 17's are perfect. What really makes them work so well is the zoom air pockets in the forefoot. They are my go-to for jump rope!
@@kgsfitness7806 Agreed. Its noteworthy that 17's you have on may be a bit warmer and bulkier then the regular 17's that are strapless. I've exercised almost exclusively in the 17's since they were released and never had any heat issues. But that's just my experience. Anyway, great video and thanks for the upload!
I too have been through numerous shoes for jump roping. Last year, I purchased the NIKE Air Zoom SuperRep. It was designed for jumping so I thought it would be perfect for jump roping (not suitable for exercises like squats and lunges). Instead, I found the NIKE Air Zoom to be one of the imost uncomfortable shoes that I’ve ever worn. It’s incredibly narrow and tight; and I could not break it in. After using the shoes to jump rope or simply to walk around outside, my feet would ache in pain for days afterwards. For basketball shoes, all are not created. I purchased the ADIDAS T-Mac Millennium, but I was not impressed. I also purchased the NIKE Air Monarch which is one of the cheapest (US$60) basketball shoes that you’ll find, and one of the ugliest. I was pleasantly surprised that the NIKE Air Monarch is the most comfortable shoes that I’ve worn for jump roping. Right now, the NIKE Air Monarch is what I’ve been using daily for the past 6+ months for jump roping and it’s been better than I expected. The NIKE Air Monarch might not be for everyone, but it has worked for me. It's also the ultimate casual athletic "DAD" shoes.
I do boxing workouts so boxing shoes are expensive and wear out quick, so not ideal. I like the York Athletics Henry mid. They are light, breathable and have great support.
Thank you friend. It’s funny cause when I watch a video that is a review I always think myself “just tell me the bottom line already!” Lol...then I get in front of the camera and forget to do the same lol. I don’t do reviews much really...but next time I do I will give the bottom line up front and then those that chose to stick around for 8-10 minutes to get the details can do so. Thank you for the feedback friend 😇
@@kgsfitness7806 I like you took your time a little---added to the completeness of the video...I'm getting these shoes because of this video---thank you. You have shortened my search.

I loved them too but I prefer them more in the colder months. They are just too hot in the summer time…my feet were smoking lol

Cool vid. Thanks!
How is the ankle support? I've heard a lot of people complain that too much cushioning compromises stability while jumping.
priceless information here. ty
Thank you. That’s very kind of you to say 😇
please get to the point, you digress too much. Had to watch this on top speed but nice vid
