Emma, please correct the placement of my 'a' in my following sentences:
1. You are a really nice teacher.
2. You are really a nice teacher.
Thanks.
Hi, I'm not Emma, but I can help. I hope she doesn't mind!
1. Is correct if you think Emma is a nice teacher.
2. gives a different emphasis - on 'really'. It sounds like you didn't think she was a nice teacher before, but now you do! So although they are both correct, you would use 1. in this case! Hope that helps.
Thanks. Yes, it helps.
