    Our beloved Guru Amma's birthday falls on Phalguna Pournami and like every year this year too we celebrated with all those disciples who gathered from Vizag, Bangalore and the US.
    Starting with the Pournami Abhishekam for Sri Sahasrakshi Devi, the disciples then performed the Maha Ganapati Rudra Sahita Ayush Homam in the presence of Guru Amma.
    After a sumptuous lunch, all gathered in the Sri Yantra Maha Meru to witness a rare event- Guru Amma performing the Shodasa Upachara Puja to Maha Kameswara and Maha Kameswari. Viewers may find it interesting to note that she used to perform puja for several years in the initial years at Devipuram (1983 onwards)..
    It was then time for Bhajans and cutting of the birthday cake by Amma. Disciples joyfully sang the birthday song in Sanskrit and English too. Time to be blessed by Amma- who doesn't love to receive sweets and special gifts from a loving mother?
    Pavalimpu Seva- wherein lullabies are sung for the Utsava murthies...and thus the close of a very cherished day.

    About Guruji Amritananda
    =============================================
    Sri Amritananda Natha Saraswati (Dr. Prahlada Sastry) (1934 - 2015) is a respected nuclear physicist who, after having received life-changing vision of Bala Tripura Sundari, left his prestigious job of 23 years at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) to become a #SriVidya Upasaka and Guru. He was chosen by Devi to build the world's only temple in the form of a 3 dimensional Sri Yantra, at #Devipuram 35kms from the city of #Visakhapatnam. The Sri Yantra Maha Meru has images of all the Khadgamala Goddesses which one can worship and interact with directly. The Kamakhya Guru Peetham is a sacred place at Devipuram where Guruji had many darshans of and received ancient teachings from Goddess Kamakhya. At Her behest, Guruji made the teaching of Sri Vidya an essential part of his mission and strongly believed that everyone regardless of caste, creed, religion, nationality or gender should have access to this Vidya. He left no stone unturned in demystifying the complex rituals, creating easy formats for everyone to understand and practice. Guruji also started many social empowerment programs to help society at large. With numerous loving disciples all over the world, Guruji and his wife, Srimati Annapurnamba (lovingly known as Guruji Amma) have dedicated their lives to the service of the people. In October 2015, Guruji merged with the Divine Mother leaving behind a great legacy.
