Guru Purnima Utsava 2021

Sri Gurubhyo Namaha
Guru Pournami or Vyasa Pournami is celebrated on the Full moon day of Ashadam in reverence and gratitude to the Guru Parampara guiding us as our internal ‘Witness’ in every aspect of life and also helping us turn inward towards self realization.
Sri Plava nama samvatsara Guru Pournami was celebrated on 23rd and 24th July 2021.
On 23rd July Chandi Saptashati was chanted by devotees at Devipuram and other locations via live video.
The second day started with Panchamruta Abhishekam to Sri Sri Sri Sahasrakshi Raja Rajeswari Devi. Devotees performed Abhishekam to Devi with their own hands.
The Samuhika Chandi Homam was performed at the Dakshavati by the devotees present. Volunteers worked hard to ensure safe and participative rituals. After a sumptuous Anna Prasadam, it was time for the Pallaki procession with the Utsava Murties and Guru Padukas to the Kamakhya Guru Peetham.
Guru Paduka Puja , Bhajans, dances in celebration of our Guru's grace by all disciples present. 'Nama Parayana Preeta' a book in Telugu- written by a disciple was also released by Guru Amma on the occasion and shared along with a copy of Guruji's book in Telugu 'Alingana'.
Amidst all this gaiety, the Sri Vidya Online Forum forum.amritananda.org was announced. Guru Amma expressed happiness at the coming together of the disciples to contribute.

About Guruji Amritananda

Sri Amritananda Natha Saraswati (Dr. Prahlada Sastry) (1934 - 2015) is a respected nuclear physicist who, after having received life-changing vision of Bala Tripura Sundari, left his prestigious job of 23 years at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) to become a #SriVidya Upasaka and Guru. He was chosen by Devi to build the world's only temple in the form of a 3 dimensional Sri Yantra, at #Devipuram 35kms from the city of #Visakhapatnam.
The Sri Yantra Maha Meru has images of all the Khadgamala Goddesses which one can worship and interact with directly. The Kamakhya Guru Peetham is a sacred place at Devipuram where Guruji had many darshans of and received ancient teachings from Goddess Kamakhya.
At Her behest, Guruji made the teaching of Sri Vidya an essential part of his mission and strongly believed that everyone regardless of caste, creed, religion, nationality or gender should have access to this Vidya. He left no stone unturned in demystifying the complex rituals, creating easy formats for everyone to understand and practice. Guruji also started many social empowerment programs to help society at large.
With numerous loving disciples all over the world, Guruji and his wife, Srimati Annapurnamba (lovingly known as Guruji Amma) have dedicated their lives to the service of the people. In October 2015, Guruji merged with the Divine Mother leaving behind a great legacy.
