    Cats can eat raw meats. Salmonella won’t affect cats. Their bodies are equipped to digest what they will catch in the wild and it will be a lot healthier for them rather than feeding them hard foods

    We have a feral cat that we "domesticated ". All his life he was only eating what he hunted. He still prefer raw meet than cat food. Because we're living with him in his territory he still go out to hunt :)

    Cats are very prone to food poisoning and allergies! Even if they can eat some grain and herbs to improve their digestion, they are carnivore. Our family cat suffered from gum bleeding and overall lethargy for two whole years when she was young until we found the culprit, she's gluten intolerant! Once we changed her diet to 0% grain cat food she recovered and has been healthy for half a decade.
    If your cat has ANY health issues, seriously, I'd start with 0% grain cat food.

    There is a movement for a raw diet for cats. Mainly meat and very little carbs. Trying to mimic what they would eat in the wild. There is a movement away from processed cat food. In particular the dry cat food that maybe linked to diabetes and kidney failure. Thoughts?

    • @Feline_Fanatics
      @Feline_Fanatics  6 месяцев назад +1

      That's a tricky question and definitely one with no one-size-fits-all answer. The main issue with dry food is that it often doesn't provide enough moisture for cats, who are naturally low-thirst drive animals and typically get most of their water from their prey. This lack of water can contribute to various health problems you mentioned. However, it's also worth noting that a diet of just meat might not fully meet a cat's nutritional needs. In the wild, cats consume not only the meat but also the stomach contents of their prey, which can include digested grains and grasses, providing a more balanced diet than meat alone. Plus, they occasionally eat grass for digestive aid and other benefits.
      Personally, I lean towards using high-quality, wet food for my cats. It's a bit more expensive, but it helps ensure they're getting the moisture they need, along with a more balanced array of nutrients similar to what they might find in a more natural diet.

    My cat gets lactose free milk every day with no problems. She loves it. She also gets 2 tsp. coconut oil every day and the morning spoon has all her vitamins. You can see her on my channel, she's a Tortie and feisty. Her main diet is chicken cooked in coconut oil and her rare hard food is Orijen. Her junk food treat is chicken Temptations. She drinks only filtered rainwater and she is beautiful. Her name is a famous Egyptian goddess of fertility that if typed on comment, gets banned instantly...but it begins with the letter I and has two S's with another I.
    Really like your vidz.

      It's awesome to hear how well you're taking care of your Tortie, especially with the lactose-free milk and the special touch of coconut oil and vitamins in her diet. She sounds like a real gem, living her best life with her unique diet and even enjoying filtered rainwater. The name inspired by an Egyptian goddess adds to her mystique! Glad you're liking the videos too. 🐾✨

      You can see her in several of my recent videos. She has 2 sandboxes, both outdoors. #1 is 10' x 8' inside her play pen and the other is next to the forest and is 10'x12'. We live in the middle of a vast forest where she can climb trees, catch mice and other varmints. She has her own room inside with 9 step-shelves. She's got it made. @@Feline_Fanatics

    I'm not sure of accuracy on the one about meat. Raw meat can kill a cat, but they can catch disgusting rodents all day long with no issues? In another video you said thst house cats are only different from tigers by 4.5%, but I never remember seeing a video of a picky tiger. 😂

    I was using oat milk for cereal for myself for a while bc I am lactose intolerant and my cat was crazy to get to it… Google told me it was bad for cats!! So oat milk as a non-dairy milk is bad too!!

    Great video. Are there foods that cats know, instinctively, are bad for them?

    • @Feline_Fanatics
      @Feline_Fanatics  6 месяцев назад

      Thank you! Regarding your question, while cats do have instincts that can sometimes steer them away from certain harmful foods, it's not a foolproof system. Cats might instinctively avoid some strong-smelling substances that are toxic to them, but they can still be curious about or accidentally ingest foods that are dangerous, like onions, garlic, or chocolate

    Family cat won't eat any coocked meat at all, only raw, why expect them to have bacteria if you buy them from the store and not the farm? I also don't want to share my food with my cat, but he needs to eat it with me, he's into any fruit (fresh or dried, except of course those that are dangerous), shrooms, bread, etc., though he doesn't like everything, he expects e to share with him if he pleases.

    You are WAY WRONG on the raw meat issue. Veterinarians and specialists recommend a raw food diet. And it is even sold at walmart in the refridgerated pet food area.
