I have 6 n my last stray I took in he needs to get snip snip his appointment unfortunately is in 2 more weeks he's spraying everywhere I bought natures miracle spray stopper n it has some type of oil in it that smells horrendous I'm like this can't be healthy for anyone to breathe in I was finally able to get his appointment pushed up I can't understand why this product is even sold😮
Philodendron should be mentioned. My cat once ate a leaf and was in distress right away. I called the poison control center, and they advised me to run some warm water by syringe over the cat's tongue. She said the plant had little thorny bits, and they were stuck in his tongue. Like magic! They even called the next day to see if he was ok.

Well I’m doing rather well as a cat mom.my cat eats a raw diet, and a high quality organic food. She eats better then I do. I’ve even go without so she has enough.

I feed my cat his dry food in the morning. And wet food in the afternoon. Since he seems addicted to dry food, I add 1/8 cup of dry food to the wet and mix in 2 tablespoons of warm water for a soft mixture and he eats it all up.
I gave up trying to give my cat water. She eats wet food so I can sneak a little into that. She has three pee balls a day of a pretty good size. She gets about six dry kibble pieces when I feed her. I tell her it’s her dessert. I feed her four times a day so her walnut sized stomach is not stressed from being too full. I tried twice a day feeding but she begged so much in between meals that I went back to four times a day. Same amount of food just divided into four meals. She has an automatic feeder if I’m away.

My cats are indoor, and have a mix of the highest quality dry food (urinary and hairball control. though they do not have health issues) This food is available at a pet department store, or a vet.
I boil fresh, boneless chicken breasts for them, and I include a little extra water with their wet food.
They have 5 water bowls.
My cats have a large, spacious outdoor enclosure (round 70 sqm) where they can access the house whenever they want.
I make time to have "playtime" with them, though they like to play amongst themselves as well.
I have 5 cats who are all brothers and sisters.
I rescued them all, and their mother (which is a long story)
They are all snipped chipped, and registered for life ( People are required to register their cats in Perth, Western Australia)
Any dry food is not good no matter how much thet advertise it is . Feed them wet or raw food . We mix our 5 cats food with 80% raw and 20% wet so they get hydration . They are the perfect weight and their coats shine so naturally . We used to use the vet advertised high end food and they were all fat lol

I bought a waterfall waterbowl and it has done wonders. My cat loves it when I get him fresh water and he can just drink from the small streams, especially in the summer. I keep it at a cool place and he loves his water, he will lie down next to it lol.
I bought a cat water fountain from Amazon. The cats did not go near it for a week and then it quit. Another great product from China. Anyway, it showed me that my 4 rescue cats prefer standing water over moving water.
My cat stole my cup of water one way, now she drinks from it all the time! She even follows me when I empty clean and fill it with fresh water.
Fountains are a pain to keep clean. You have to keep buying filters. I have one. I dont know if ill keep it.
I tried a dripping tap in the bathroom. She didn’t bother with it and she won’t drink from a bowl. She gets her wet food which seems to be enough liquid for her. I can always add a little water to it.
I have four fountains around my house, and while my cats do love them, their favorite place to drink from is the sink (just plugged up, not running), and from ceramic mugs.
I got more than one water bowl, but my cat hates the water fountain I got him, he has never used it.
My cats like a glass of water sitting in the kitchen sink. They each have bowls, too, -- never plastic! One of them races me to the bathroom to beg me to drip the faucet.
Surely a cleaner house, including cleaner floors, are more likely to prevent parasites, no? 🤷♂

I've got a few like that, too. The other cats are obsessed with wet food, but some of mine seem disgusted by it. I can only feed them kibble and certain meats.
I stay away from candles and flowers . Cause of my cats
This is a great list. I never feed or water my pets out of plastic containers. Plastic is unsanitary. I also make sure my babies always have fresh, clean bowls always. Eating out the same bowls over and over without washing ! Would a human being want to eat out of dishes that are not washed between meals. They would stink. Nobody needs plants in their homes. Essential oils give me a raging headache so I can imagine what it does to pets. Cats are very clean and they like clean litter boxes, clean food bowls, fresh water, etc. It's just common sense.
my last 3 cats all lived over 20 years.
their diet included dry and canned food, cheese puffs, pizza, lasinga, spaghetti, bbq/fried/baked chicken, beef/pork/chicken cooked on BBQ, Natural vanilla ice-cream, milk, and just about anything I may be eating.

I had one cat would grab some food then drop it in her water dish then eat the soaked food out of the dish

My cats demand that I leave my tub on a slow drip, my water fountain I bought them they kept puposely tipping it over. They do not like the water bowls as much as the dripping water.

I do not often fill a bowl with water., because outside there is enough rainwater, what they more like than the crane water. And even then, I give them at least 2 times a day "wet food" (and of course for the rest for the day, dry food).
And yes always a bowl of cat milk.
An as I am a single man, my dishwasher is not always full of dishes, I have 4 stainless steel cans for my cat, but 4 four plastic cans too. So that there always is a fresh bowl always. And I think that those plastic bowls are just as good, als long if they have been in a dishwasher.
Add a bit of water to their wet food. Fountains are a pain to keep up with. Easier to fill several water bowls and keep them clean. Use glass.

The lawns and outdoor areas are sprayed each season for mosquitoes. She never leaves the apt. And no other animals come in
Yeah, don't listen to everything these videos and these people in the comments say. MILLIONS of cats have lived long, healthy lives on kibble since the 60s when it was invented, without water fountains, and in households that use 'harsh chemicals.'
Get them checked out a couple times a year at the vet (most cities have low cost vets), don't overfeed and keep them indoors. And give lots of love ❤.

Does anyone looking at this video have a cat that eats hair while grooming?? Anyone else???.. my long-haired cat seems to want to pull hair out while grooming and then she swallows it before I can yank it out of her mouth. She swallows it and then,undigested,it causes her rectum to bleed. It worries so much! I have had cats all my life,but never had one that did this. Any suggestions?
My cat eats her fur but never bleeds from bottom eating fur is harmless you should take her to vet

The cat at 2.23 is nibbling an orange skin. I thought cats & dogs hated citrus fruit. Maybe when referring to the original cats, there should be pictures of cats in desert areas, not forest areas.
(1) My cats get clean, purified water three times a day; (2) I use natural cleaners in my home; (3) Bones are a BIG NO NO--everyone should know that! (4) Well, they do sleep a lot but they get to go out when they want; (5) I never use essential oils (or incense anymore); (6) I use stainless steel; (7) I do feed them organic chicken, cooked, sometimes; (8) No parasite trouble yet (after 8 years); (9) no toxic plants in the house or yard--just great wild grass; (10) no loud noises - just meditational-type music; Oh! I do use a blender occasionally. (11) Dry food and wet food; (12) food is always down--I have read that this is a No No. I am guilty of this.

Personally, I DIY all my cleaners. For example, using a simple mix of vinegar and water can be a safe and effective solution🧼🐾

I give my kitty 1/4 or 1/2 can of wet food in the morning as a treat. She occasionally throws it up. Roomie's friend says to add some kibble. Her water is right beside the food. Sometimes I'll find a toy in it. I don't pay her enough attention. I'm iffy on the Vet because there are no Caucasian ones in this city that I know of, and I loathe how they grab her scruff. Like Mofu I'm going to grab your neck like that.
I went to a new vet before sitting to just talk about my animals -- mistake! Vet tech scuffed my cat and turned me into a screaming crazy person. "NO! Don't pick him up like that." I will now see another vet without my animals present.
We will discuss how my animals will be handled, and I will insist on a tour of the facility.
I was one super pissed off lady that day, and I cried all the way home! My sweet cat scooted as close as he could to the front of his carrier, gave a scared little mew, and reached out to me. God, I love my babies!
