wahoo thanks dude.worked within first couple of plunger pulls. to think I was about to muck around pulling the interior panels off and try to push it out from inside. this was sooo easy.brilliant.

i have tried the hot water toilet plunger on my '97 toyota sprinter on my front (drivers seat) right side door with just 2-3 times i tried instantly the whole dent popped out. the sound of it popping was so satisfying. Fixed it with just $2. If i took it to a garage they'd take whole day dent and paint and bill me $50. This was done in just 2 minutes. Instant fix. Thank you so much man, you're a life saver. I was bummed the whole day because of that dent.

I don't think people really understand how much it costs to get a simple dent like this professionally fixed. I have a dent a lot like this, and a few scratches. The man gave me a quote of 5k to fix that -_- I don't want to pay that! So if this makes it at least 80% better then what it is that's good enough for me!

I just tried this on a huge dent in the back panel of my Hyundai i40. It totally worked. Doesn't quite look good as new but definitely looks about 1000 times better and cost nothing. I also used a broom handle to push the panel out from behind once the plunger had pulled out the worst of the dent. Pretty good going seeing as a replacement panel is at least £600 inc labour.

thank you for taking the time and trouble to post this guide.
Seeing it actually working will give many people the solution to their dent problems and most importantly the confidence to do it.
    Well done

Wish I'd took a video or before/after photos; tried this on my girlfriends Clio. It had a medium-large dent in the middle of the drivers door. A full kettle and a cheap plunger means it now only has a VERY minor dent along that shaped line Clio's have parallel to the plastic trim. Both really pleased and it only cost the price of boiling a kettle!

this does work. The idea is to get the area hot. He should have used more water for an area that big. You only have a few seconds to pull the dent out while its hot. After the dent is pulled out you need to let it cool. if you keep playing with it after the area has cooled it will keep popping back in. Especially big ones like this.

Normally with a dent like that the metal is stretched so the dent will pop back in with the slightest of vibration or heat/cold variation.

Cool! I have seen other tutorials with the hot water or the blow drier and then cold water, but I think this one looks easier. The passenger's side of my car was all dented from the middle to the back because the car leaned on a post, and there were just too ways out, both denting the car, so I just pulled forward.

He put another dent in the vehicle. I would recommend you take off the inside door cover, get a small pillow or blanket and push out on it instead of using the plunger. The pillow will spread out the pressure when you push out so you won't put too much pressure on one spot. If the steel door guard is in the way you still might be able to do this.

to my previus car it happened like this. i had a car accident. my right door get hit by another car. i did not intend to repair it but what happened is just weird. the summer started at the time and it was warmer and warmer everyday. i opened the door when i went shoping or i drove someone else. then one day i went home from the store and closed the door. i heard a loud boom. i turned and the door was almost like before it got crashed. with my new car i had an accident too. i will try to do it like this guy tomorrow
